Предисловие. Влияние масс-медиа
Вьетнамская война в хронологической таблице совпала со временем зарождения и наибольшего подъема рок-музыки. Оба явления имели колоссальное влияние на развитие американской культуры и влияли друг на друга заметно и обильно: в то время, как солдатики-пендосы отдыхали в джунглях под Steppenwolf и CCR, основную массу протестующего против войны в уютных парках небыдла составляли хиппи, вдохновленные ЛСД музыкой, несущей в себе социальную нагрузку. Да, да, протестная песня в рок-музыке стала модной исключительно благодаря Вьетнаму, и алчущая справедливости русская душа здесь ни при чем. Именно такими американцам и запомнились поздние 60-тые: хиппи, война и рок-н-ролл.
Звуки войны
Иногда целую эпоху расцвета рока называют «музыкой вьетнамской войны». Саундтрек к любому медиапродукту, ее касающемуся, будет эпик-вином, если подбирать аутентичную для нее музыку (а не так, как му*даки из Дискавери).
К сожалению, в саму игру саундтрека особо не завезли (скорее всего связано это с авторскими правами, как всегда), кроме греющей душу Run Through the Jungle в игре больше ничего не играет. А это, скажу я вам, крайне печально. Ведь истреблять коммунистических ублюдков чертовых чарли лучше, когда у тебя в ушах играет хороший саундтрек.
Так что, представляю вашему вниманию лицензированную музыку прямиком из того времени, включив которую, невольно начинаешь видеть перед мысленным взором вертолеты, шум винтов, зелёные джунгли за бортом и периодическое постукивание М-60, которым бортстрелок пытается нащупать засевших в джунглях гуков.

Preface. The mass-media influence
The war in Vietnam happened right at the time when the rock music was at its peak of popularity. Both the war and the music had a huge impact on the American culture and on each other: while the soldiers were resting in the jungles to the beats of Steppenwolf and CCR, most of the people who were opposing the war were the hippies, inspired by the LSD music that had social load in it. Yes, yes. The protesting sound of rock music got popular thanks only to Vietnam, and the thirsty for justice Russian soul had nothing to do with it. This is exactly how the Americans remember the late sixties: hippies, war, rock-n-roll.
The sounds of war
Sometimes the entire era of the rock music is called "The music of the Vietnamese war." Soundtrack to any media product related to it will be an epic win, if you carefully pick authentic music for it (Not like the folks from Discovery do.)
Unfortunately, the game itself has little to no soundtrack (most likely due to the copyright issues, as always), except the soulwarming "Run Through The Jungle". And that is incredibly sad. Since, well, we all know that exterminating the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ charlies feel way better when you've got some good soundtrack filling your ears.
With that said, I present you a set of licensed music right from those times, just by listening to it you unwillingly begin to imagine choppers, the sounds of war, explosions, green jungles on the shore and occasional shots of M-60 used by the gunner to clear the jungles of the ♥♥♥♥♥.
