@***** - Can't get this tool to work with Steam Edition. When I specify the FSX root directory, the output shows that it doubles up the subdirectories (i.e., I point it to "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX" and the output shows "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\SimObjects\Airplanes"; note the doubled "\SimObjects\Airplanes\SimObjects\Airplanes" in the output).
Tried the following:
Dash 8
Embraer 110
Sukhoi SU 80
Twin Otter
PC-12
To avoid collisions with FSW, the planes are renamed (prefixed) with FSX2FSW.
EXE is here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!Akq7J9IJ1nvhp98OZzyl8BY1TJ8hCA
USAGE:
Usage: FSX2FSW_SimObjects_Airplanes.exe [<FSX root folder> <FSW root folder>]
FSX 'Airplanes' folder: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes"
FSW 'Airplanes' folder: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSW\SimObjects\Airplanes"
With a default install, just running FSX2FSW_SimObjects_Airplanes.exe will do the conversion.
With FSW 1.3*, I'm not seeing the jitter issues anymore when flying over 300knts.
The gauges still don't work due to the x86 vs. x64 DLLs - as discussed in this thread.
