Fernando Stats and Abilities
Dis dud iz spanish. da end

(Spicy intro I know, thank me later for the quality information)

Real intro: Who dat man? Well Fernando is one of the free characters you get when you first start the game but he's a pretty good tank (If you use him right that is). He has a formiable amount of health and with a good card loadout he can last a while (trust me i've been in 1v4 situations and still suvived, of course with my team helping me when they were back alive).

Starting off he has a base health of 5500 and movement speed of 360.

Flame Lance:
Basically a flamethrower, ok go on to the next section.
BUT WAIT THERES MORE
Fernando's flamethrower is short ranged (like most flamethrowers) and deals a grand total of 35 damage per hit every .1 second. I know you might be thinking, "Lmao weak AF".
BUT WAIT THERES MORE
It also applies Damage Over Time for a total of 200 damage everytime they're hit. This weapon reloads by itself after a short period of no usage.

(Fun Fact): Deft hands actually works on Fernando because his weapon is considered as an "Ammo weapon". Same goes with grohk

Shield
Fernando's shield is a shield, nothing special. But wait, if you look closely you can read the fine print.

It reads: The shield has a health of 8,000 and lasts about 10 seconds with a cooldown of 15 seconds.
During the 10 seconds (or if you have the legendary which ill explain later) you can't attack or use anything ability except Charge to deal a grand total of 200 damage

Fireball
You shoot a giant ball of fire at your enemy and see them burn while you lit them up with your flamethrower.

The fireball does 450 damage and applies 50% less healing on enemies hit for 3 seconds. If the fireball hits 1 enemy then you'll get a 2% ult charge then 4% for a second hit, if lucky you can get up to an 18% ult charge, which sounds pretty S P I C Y

Charge
With this ability you can ram into your enemies like a battery ram! Doing 200 damage, which doesn't seem like a lot but like if your opponent has like a pixel of health left, you can ram that person and see their body get sent across the map! (Joking but you'll have the satisfaction of getting that elim)

(Bare with me we're almost done with this section then you have to read 4 other ones)

Ultimate: Immortal
You turn into a super Saiyan and bring hell around you as you protect your allies from death itself. (That is if you have the FN-01 Helios skin, if ya don't then ur bad kid, jk).

Joke aside, Immortal makes it so you, and allies, don't go under 1500 health and are protected from status effects during the duration.
This may seem cool since you turn "invincible" but during the ult you can only use your flamethrower and you move significantly slower and it only lasts 4 seconds. However this could help counter a Drogoz ult or a Skye ult or a Torvald ult (you'll be saving yourself here), etc.

Conclusion: I guess you can say he's pretty lit (ima kill myself now).
Legendaries
Next we need to talk about Fernando's legendaries. There's Aegis, Formidable, and Scorch. Each one has thier purpose depending on how you like to play. My go-to legendary is Aegis since I like play defensive Fernando and holding point.

Aegis
This legendary allows the shield to stay up for an infinite amount of time and reduces the cooldown of Shield by 8 seconds (original 15 seconds). This legendary is for people playing defensive Fernando, this allows you to hold point longer or protect teammates "longer"

FormiDABle
(See what i did there DAB hue hue hue). Formidable makes it so you regain health over 3 seconds until you're at 60% of your maximum health. This only activates when you're 40% or lower of your max health and has a cooldown of 45 seconds. This legendary is like a mutual one, not really defensive and not really offensive. I tend to see it lean more towards the defensive since you can regain health and hold point longer.

Scorch
This legendary is more offensive that defensive. It basically buffs the fireball, making do 30% more base damage (which is about 585 base damage instead of 450) and does 30% more for each enemy hit.

Conclusion
Aegis and Formidable is for defensive and Scorch is for offensive. In terms of gameplay it completely depends on how you'll make use of the legendaries. Tanknandos (like me) usually take Formidable or Aegis to last longer. Flanknandos usually take Scorched for more damage. However some may argue that Formidable also work for Flanknandos since it prevents them from dying as quickly. More of this will be explained in the Gameplay section.
Cards and Loadouts
In this section Im going to show the loadout I currently. (In the future I might put in all the cards and stuff for the dude)

(Little tip from me): What I try to do is balance my loadouts so my abilities balance. I don't know why but I just do

My loadout

My loadout consists of movement speeds and health boosts, and that occasional random card.

Overall summary of deck: This card loadout helps me in various ways. With the movement cards, Hot Pursuit and Dire Need I can escape and be more mobile while also doing damage, because we all know how slow tanks can be, also allowing me to catch up to enemies and be more agressive.

Safe Travel and Last Stand both help for when I'm defending point since one grants me a 1000 HP shield for charging and the other allows me to regain health while defending. In various occasions they have been lifesavers at times when I'm about to die.

The random card, Pyre, is used for the reload of my flamethower. With this I can almost never run out of flames and if I do it just reloads quickly.
Gameplay
***DISCLAIMER***: Gameplay depends on the person. For this secton I'm going to go over how I play and the typical Flanknando

Playing Fernando may seem like just get to point->shield->stay->shoot->die->repeat

(I mean it kinda is) However I play what I call a "Hybrid tank". Meaning I'm agressive and defensive. I usually stay on point as long as I can before dieing but once my shield goes down that's when the agressive play comes in. I try to "drive" anyone that comes away from point or, if possible, kill them.

Once we start pushing payload I start chasing anyone I get to low health while also being somewhat close to the payload. That's where the movement cards come in, if I'm somewhat far I can just fireball, possibly kill enemy, and return safely.

(Rewind a bit to when you're still captureing) The legendaries Aegis and Formidable help in these situations when you play defensive Fernando. Yes his sheild does go down fairly quickly but with Aegis (if you're lucky) your shield will stay up for long times and help your team behind you take out enemies, now with Formidable you put up your shield and regen health. The only problem with Formidable is that you'll have to survive with a 15 second shield cooldown (unless you have a card to reduce the cooldown or have Chronos).

When Ulting I usually make sure enough people are around me or when a Skye or Drogoz decide to ult. Really saves me and my teammates, I'm sure that drogoz or skye felt C H A L L E N G E D.

For me a typical "Hybrid tank" match looks like this:

Now Flanknando gameplay I'm not too familiar with since I don't do that, ain't about that flank life. However from I see they just do what any flank does and shoot fire at their small bodies. Chasing down their hopes and dreams of keeping a positive K/D.
S P I C Y Info *read at your own risk*
Now we talk about the most important part... SKINZZZZZZZ.

Rule of thumb:SKINS=SKILL

First thing you want to do is spend all your money on crystals to buy the Helios Chest for 200 crystals.

Or you can buy the founder's pack to get the God Of War skin.

(If you don't these then you're a complete scrublord and you should ♥♥♥).

O wait what's that? The Helios chest doesn't exist anymore? Rip.

But thats ok because you can use the new chests and try your luck for the helios skin, have fun with that lelelelelel >:)

Conclusion
Concluding this S P I C Y guide: Fernando is a pretty good tank if you pick the right cards and the right legendary (according to your playstyles) and now that we have gone through the various stats and tips for Fernando you should be able to be at least decent with him. If there's anything I missed or you would like to see pelase add it in the comments and I will try and modify this guide to the best of my abilities.

And bare with me, this is the first guide I've ever done so i don't expect this to be perfect.

***AND REMEMBER SKILLS=SKILL***

(not really good with conclusions so ima put the most important point of the guide below)

Find something intresting: Fernando don`t block damage with his shield from number of charge atacks - Ash(shoulder bash -100% sure), other Fernando(not very sure, damage not that big to tell it apart from others), Maeve(the same as Fernando, and Maeve don`t actualy pounce a lot my shield to be certain about it), Buck( heroic leap - i consider it`s area damage but still why?), Makoa(well, his shell spin actualy do 150 damage on hit, hard to tell it apart from other damage but i think it`s legit to consider it to do damage)
Pretty much looking for more info about it
