13 Unusual Effects You Need To Stay Away From

The world of TF2 has been greeted to us by uniques, stranges, rare items, and unusuals! Unusuals are best known for keeping your favorite class flashy, noticeable by so many players. Now don't get me wrong, unusual trading has come a long way from when it started some years ago. Now there are over 100 effects as of now, and many more to show up.

However, not all unusuals look great. Actually, there are unusuals that are bland, uncreative, inflated, and so called 'Cancerous', as a usual unusual trader would use to describe how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it looks/sells. Now enough chit chat, lets get right into the countdown, on the 13 Unusual Effects You Need To Stay Away From!

13. Haunted Ghosts

Coming in our 13th spot is Haunted Ghosts. Now Haunted Ghosts is a pretty decent looking unusual. I put it at the top due to it having a high price tag. It is mostly priced right next to Disco Beat Down, which is a better looking effect. Now it could be an easy to sell, but not in its big price tag.

12. Circling Hearts

Coming in our 12th spot is Circling Hearts. Now it was quite tuff whether it would be C. Hearts or Haunted Ghosts, but just for the sakes of it im putting C. Hearts at the 12th spot. Much like Haunted Ghosts, C. Hearts is overpriced. Yea I guess it is a little bit better than Haunted Ghosts, but because of its large price tag, its probably better to place it at 12th place. (I mean seriously, why the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell is a C. Hearts Head Warmer at 750 keys? Thats like over the price of a damn Virtual Viewfinder)

11. All Invasion Effects (except Nebula)

Coming in our 11th spot is All the Invasion Effects. Dont get me wrong, but these invasion effects are quite cool, in my opinion. When they first came out back in 2015, they were pretty hyped, mostly Nebula. However, due to how bad they sell, and at times overflowing the market, it can loose you a grand-ton of profit. Now i dont know how would they be overpriced exactly, since there isnt a wide variety of hats to sorta 'compare' them into. But since the market is being overflowed by these, they tend to bring people's attention that they can't sell and would dare to offer on it.

10. Flaming Lantern/Mallard

Coming in our 10th spot is Flaming Lantern/Mallard. Not a lot of stuff to talk about these unusual effects, except how disliked they are from the TF2 community (surprisingly I like Mallard, and want an endgame hat with Mallard). It is probably how low-tier they are. Mallard is put as a low-tier EOTL effect and Lantern is in the low-tier side of the old Halloween effects!

9. Cauldron Bubbles

Coming in our 9th spot is Cauldron Bubbles. Cauldron Bubbles is another one of those 'not unboxable' old Halloween unusuals. Just like C. Hearts and Haunted Ghosts, it's price tags are quite inflated too. Its pretty much a remake of Bubbling, except you add green into it. I cant wait for another bubbling remake like Eerie Bubbles (PLZ DONT)!

8. All 2016 Halloween Effects

Coming in our 8th spot is Every 2016 Halloween Effect. If they looked ♥♥♥♥♥♥, I'd personally put them in my top 3, but (in my opinion), they look quite noticeable. When the 2016 Halloween Update came out, there was a 2x chance of unboxing an unusual, and everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, went crazy unboxing (even I was, just a little bit). So many of them were unboxed that they flooded the market like crazy. And i mean there would be pages and pages and pages in the backpack.tf classifeds of that unusual effect.

7. Purple and Green Confetti

Coming in our 7th spot are the two Confetti effects! They are disliked by the community because of how bland and unnoticeable it looks. Seriously if i want to make an update on this, I'd throw in a more confetti to make it more noticeable.

6. Dead Presidents/Aces High

Coming in our 6th spot is DP and Aces. Another one of these effects that are disliked by the community, Because of how much they glitch around (if you'd set their position). Noting else to say about these effects, tho I am quite neutral and in a way do have a liking onto them.

5. Nuts and Bolts

Coming in our 5th spot is Nuts and Bolts. Now we are going to the ones classified as 'cancerous'. Nuts and Bolts are pretty hard to sell, due to how both high and low tier traders alike hate it. Quite bland and unnoticeable, though a triple Nuts and Bolts set would make the effect more appealing and stand out more!

4. Eerie Orbiting Fire

Coming in our 4th spot is Eerie Orbiting Fire. Even more cancerous than Nuts is probably the most cancerous Halloween effect EVER IN EXISTANCE. A knockoff of the original Orbiting Fire, Eerie is very disgusting-looking. Seriously it looks like a pile of dark purple ♥♥♥♥ circling around you. Probably better off getting Orbiting Fire, since that is cheaper and better-looking.

3. Electrostatic/Power Surge

Coming in our 3th spot is Electroshittiatic and Power Surge. One of the first robo-effects in this list, these unusual effects are just orbs of electricity going around you sonic speed. If it would glow, maybe if would be a bit above this list, but they DON'T.

2. Memory Leak/Overclocked

Coming in our 2nd spot is Memory Leak and Overclocked. God WHY, WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ DO THESE HAVE TO EXIST!!! All honesty, just look at them and look how utterly disgusting and bland and uncreative this is. Makes me, and probably all other people, want to gag.

Dishonorable Mentions

Orbiting Planets - Unnoticeable effect, though quite cheap
Miami Nights - Decent but cheap knockoff of Disco Beat Down
Cloudy/Secret/Harvest - These three Moons are quite overpriced

1. Massed Flies

Coming in our 1st spot is the cancercancercancercancercancercancerous effect, Massed Flies. There is no way to describe it... oh wait, maybe there is. There are little tiny ♥♥♥♥♥ flying around you, yea those little tiny ♥♥♥♥♥ called 'flies' who annoy your everyday lives. You know what, I'm done writing this guide, just buy a unique hat then wasting money on this piece of ♥♥♥♥.

Anyways after diagnosing myself with mesothelioma and having financial compensation, here is your guide. Just please for the love of god, avoid these unusuals! This was just a quick guide, not really here to make it look pretty, but if there are any major problems with it, hmu. This is based on some of my opinions and the general community's opinions. I think the aces high effect is very good, with the right hat. It isn't perfect with every hat, but an Aces High Medic's Mountain cap is very pretty. Especially with waterlogged lab coat.

Miami Nights vs Disco Beatdown is actually very subjective. Having owned both, Miami is significantly cheater and I personally like the look of it more.
