This guide will help you access the Golden Gate more than once. I know myself along with many others struggled with this at first so I decided to create this guide so everyone will know the trick!

How To Do It

Step 1: Press and hold 'e'

Step 2: Scroll through the menu until you see 'Other'

Step 3: Press the right key and scroll until you see the Golden Gate

Step 4: Press 'x' or 'enter'

Step 5: Press the left mouse button to descend into the Golden Gate

And viola! You're back in!

After clearing the mind of thoughts, the gate was bugged and I could not ascend. I had to switch to a nearby object, go through an in-Samsara ascension cycle, and then finally use a golden gate I found there to ascend out of Samsara.

Press M to open your mind folder, THEN press and hold C to clear your mind.

And as I wrote that, I let my game play on it's own for a minute and it did turn into the golden gate on it's own!

I've been into the gate, but I don't have it in my list of objects. The game has now turned into a boring slog of going through the limited amout of layers of objects and nothing else. Alan Watts is keeping me company and I don't know which one of us is going to snap first.

i went back into the gate, but no thoughts are appearing anymore. is it supposed to be like this?

I am having a ton of trouble escaping the gate. I've done what you described, but everytime I even start to press "c" it just takes me back to the game and says I have nothing more to lose, and every thought is still present. Help?

If you wanna ascend out of the Golden Gate you have to clear your thoughts. To do so, you have to press the "~" key and from there hold "c". Your thoughts after doing this should be erased and from there you can ascend out of the gate.
