Onionboîsm stems from Siegward of Catarina, a character from the popular game
Dark Souls lll. Siegward of Catarina, or Onionboî, is an NPC character in the game
that the player can help throughout their journey. We commemorate his sacrifices in
Onionboîsm, as he died for our sin points.

Onionboî is a knight of Catarina, noticeable by his distinctive onion-shaped armor, who set out on a journey to fulfill his promise to Yhorm the Giant. Long ago, Onionboî made a promise to Yhorm that if one day Yhorm refused to link the first flame, Onionboî would slay him. Yhorm gave him a special giant-slaying weapon called "Storm Ruler". Since Yhorm failed to link the first flame, it is Onionboî's job, with your help, to slay Yhorm and return him to his throne to link the flame once more. Once you and Onionboî have slain Yhorm, he celebrates your victory together with a toast. Onionboî then commits suicide, dying for our sin points. He then ascends to the Onion heavens, blessing anyone true to his religion.

In Onionboîsm, we are dedicated to the worship of Onionboî. As such, we pray to Onionboî 5 times a day. In our prayers, we ask Onionboî for forgiveness for the players who have left him to die in the well outside the Cleansing Chapel. We worship him at Ourches (Onionboî Churches).

Giant Dads are a disgrace to Onionboî, so he has declared that they shall be wiped clean from the surface of the earth. Giant Dads misuse the zweihander since they infuse it with chaos, as such, they must be eliminated. Part of an Onionboîst's daily life is slaying Giant Dads in the name of Onionboî.

There are many holidays in Onionboîsm such as:

-Yhorm Day
-Oniondan
-Onionboî Day

Yhorm Day - Yhorm Day is the celebration of Onionboî's victory over Yhorm. On this day, Onionboîsts throw parties, exchange gifts, and drink siegbräu. This is celebrated on April 17th.

Oniondan - During Oniondan, Onionboîsts do not consume estus soup during the entire month of August. This is to commemorate the 31 days that Onionboi was trapped inside a well.

Onionboî Day - On the day after Yhorm Day (April 18th), Onionboî took his life to save us all. On this day we commemorate his death by going to Ourch and performing the toast gesture for 24 hours straight.

An Onionboîst must travel to the St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, Russia at least once in their life to worship Onionboî. The St. Basil's Cathedral is chosen as the holy site of Onionboîsm, because of it's magnificent onion-shaped domes.

Becoming an Onionboîst isn't easy, but if you're determined to become an Onionboîst, you must do the following things:

*Wear the archdeacon robes with a Catarina helm at all times
*Complete Onionboî's questline at least once
*Only eat estus soup for the rest of your life, except during Oniondan
*Only use the Zweihander, Pierce Shield, Emit Force, Sacred Oath, and the Storm Ruler when in combat

Once you've completed the requirements above, Onionboî will descend from the heavens to bless you with his holiness, officially making you a member of the Onionboîsm community.

The official Onionboî attire is the previously mentioned archdeacon robe with a Catarina helm. This must be worn at all times. On Onionboî Day, the Catarina armor set must be worn, though the archdeacon robe with the Catarina helm must still be on! The Catarina set simply goes over the normal attire; this is a critical detail that many Onionboîsts miss.

Onionboî's questline must be completed to become an Onionboîst. In short, theses are the steps to complete his questline:

*Talk to Onionboî at the tower in Undead Settlement and help him beat the demon
*Open the big double doors in Cathedral of the Deep and speak to him in the well outside of the Cleansing Chapel
*Find Patches by climbing the tower in Firelink Shrine, then buy the Catarina set from him
*Return to Onionboî and give him his armor back
*Talk to Onionboî in Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, in the room below the silver knight archers
*Retrieve the key in the chest found in the sewer tunnel in Profaned Capital
*Free Onionboî from his cell in Profaned Capital
*Defeat Yhorm with Onionboî
*Speak to Onionboî when Yhorm is defeated

Onionboî's favorite meal is estus soup, so it must be the only meal an Onionboîst consumes except during the holy month of Oniondan. Eating onions is cannibalism, as such, they shall never be eaten.

The Zweihander, Pierce Shield, Emit Force, Sacred Oath, and the Storm ruler are Onionboî's choice in weaponry, so you must honor that by only using those weapons in combat. It is a sin to infuse a zweihander with chaos, as it is a symbol of the Giant Dad.

When one fails to abide by these rules, Onionboî curses them with bad RNG and is expunged from the Onionboîsm community.
