Intro

The achievements for this game are pretty easy and straightforward as they automatically unlock as you progress, but the lack of tutorial could make the game itself frustratingly confusing for new players. So here are some tips and tricks on how to make your path to 100% Achievements easier.

Controls & Basics

Left Arrow Key - Accept article.
Right Arrow Key - Reject article.

If you haven't, I strongly suggest that you check the Touch Control Buttons box on the menu to help you remember which key does what. It may not seem like much, but the game picks up it's pace after a few levels and the amount of mistakes you'll be making might just surprise you.

The Red stack and number are the articles you've incorrectly accepted or rejected.
The Green stack and number are the articles you've correctly accepted.
The Blue stack and number are the articles you've correctly rejected.

You can accept/reject the same article twice by quickly double tapping the arrow keys.

To progress through levels, you need to make less than ten errors. If you find yourself making more than that, press the red X button on the upper right of your screen and you'll be back on the main menu where you can restart the level.

Finishing the game with ten or more mistakes will reset your progress.

Article Types

There are a total of seven different type of articles you'll be sorting out in the game, and they have three variations each. They are easily distinguishable by their group colors.

Culture

Incident

Financial

Sports

Scientific

Nature

Recent Happenings

Sports & Culture are probably the two types you'll be dealing with the most, while Recent Happenings is the most insignificant type out of them all. While they appear throughout the game, they're only a part of the task once, meaning they're fairly safe to accept/reject all the other times.

I couldn't get to week 8 either. I missed less than 10 and achieved 50 correct marks, but I end up failing anyways. The backup progress tip is really helpful for when the game seems to screw you over like this. I was on time too... it just kept counting beyond 50...

You can always "save" your progress by copying the MagazineEditor folder in C:\Users\[your username here]\AppData\Local\ and pasting it somewhere safe.

Then if you screw up and lose your progress after a game over, delete your MagazineEditor folder in this directory path and replace it with the one we copied and pasted elsewhere, and you should get your progress back.
