"Fallback textures made my baking the specular lighting to the base texture using Substance Painter. Screenshots from HLMV.

The original uses 2048 x 2048 textures with normal mapping, and both Phong and envmap reflections. The envmap reflections are only applied to the metallic parts, and controlled by the alpha channel of the base texture. The Phong reflections are controlled by the normal map alpha channel.

The fallback uses a single 1024 x 1024 texture without normal maps or specular shading."

Cool, thanks a lot for the feedback. I envisioned the CO2 canister doubling as the back end of the pistol grip, but it probaly wouldn't work well in real life.

I'm probably not going to do any more changes to the model though, it's almost ready for release and changing the mesh would require redoing the U/Vs and textures.

That Co2 canister looks a bit uncomfortable to hold. Maybe push it back and turn it into a thumbhole stock? Great work btw.
