Introduction
Recently, I often receive a lot of messages from people who want to know how they can improve their profile and what I did to make mine the way it is. This gave me the idea of making this, to explain my profile in detail so others can understand it more, and maybe receive inspiration from it and ideas for their own profile.
Theme
Every time I update my profile, I decide on a new theme and most likely also on a new color. This time I have decided to make a sci-fi looking profile based on female characters (just because I think they are better looking than males).

I wanted to use some HD quality looking characters for my profile. Originally I wanted to use these two images as my artwork, but decided not to as rendering them will be a major issue (e.g. removing the overlayed effects like HUDs etc.) and chose the current image.

Since all the images I wanted to use for my showcases were blue, I decided that blue would be my primary color this time. I was also considering to change all the images to black and grey but it looked better in blue which is why I stuck with it.

In the end, i was decided that my profiles theme would be cyberpunk (which also explains the excessive us of Japanese used in my profile) focused on female characters and my profiles color would be blue.
Artwork Showcase
Unlike the previous artworks I wanted this theme to have subtle animations rather than dominant and flashy effects, thus explaining the very subtle animations of the artwork.

The primary effect of the artwork is the glitch effect displaying my name in the Interface in front of her eye. Since I do not have a logo yet I decided to make a temporary one to add above the name as I was not sure what to put there. Only showing the name would make the interface too empty and displaying more text there would take the primary effect of my name away.

The secondary effect of the artwork was the glow effect on her face (eyes, nose and matrix pattern). Originally I wanted energy to flow throw the matrix but since a lot of the lines were very thin, that would not have been possible, thus why it only has a glowing effect. The eyes were drawn quite beautifully by the artist which is why I did not want a lot of animations there that would mess it up, thus just having a glow effect. The lighting effect on the nose is supposed to be a reflection from the interface and it moves accordingly as my name on the interface changes.

The tertiary effects of the artwork are the glow on her hair and the lights on the shards. Again the lines there were pretty thin so adding energy flow would not look very nice which is why there is more glow effect there. This glow effect is less visible and more subtle so it does not take away the attention from the secondary effects.

The background effects were the electronic matrix effect in the rectangular cubes on the left side and the subtle sparkle effect on the right side in the side art. This was to compensate for the many glow effects used in the artwork.

The current artwork was the first successful second upload. The first upload was designed to be as the first showcase on the profile. What I did not like was the half of the characters head was cut off, so if you view the profile as a whole it appears like the character only has half a head. The artwork also cannot be made long as the original image had parts of her head cropped so it would not fit in the whole artwork which is why I thought it would look better as the second showcase. However, this removed most of the tubes so less electronic matrix effects are there and more glow effects.

The original artwork without changes can be seen here.

Screenshot Showcase
I decided to use this image for the screenshot showcase instead of the artwork showcase because rendering it to make it fit the background will be near impossible due to the fine lines of the hair. Also, this artwork has a higher quality than the other one so it would suit the background less.

The primary effects of this artwork would be the inferface again. This interface is much bigger and was added completly new. I decided to have my name on top with one effect accompanying it and some HUD effects on the bottom. A glitch effect has been added to mask the disappearance of the HUD effects.

The secondary effects of this artwork would be the particles on the side of her head and the sharingan effect. The particles are only on the side of her head so that it would not mask the sharingan effect and divert any attention of the interface. I thought the base sharingan would be more suitable than a mangekyou sharingan as it is smaller and will not mask the beautiful eyes and will also be more subtle compared to the bigger magekyou sharingan.

The last effect is the glow on the mask. It is very subtle so it does not take away the attention from the interface and the eyes, while also adding something to the face, so that it does not look too emtpy. The glow also has to be visible behind the interface as it covers parts of the mask.

The original image of the artwork can be seen here.

Custom Info Box
I decided to do this part last as it is probably the most difficult one. I have never done any complex info box before so I had no idea where to start etc. While my profile was getting updated I kept thinking of ideas for my info box but dropped them all since I did not like them or they did not work out when I tested it.

In the end, I used Azu´s info box as a start, using the music section as a base and building the rest around it. Since it was the first time for me to do something like that it took me many hours to complete my info box and center it correctly.

After that I added some emoticons that I thought would be fitting for the info box, keeping them in the white colors to fit the text. I did not want to change the text to blue as it would add the underline at the end and I think it looks weird.

In the end to make the info box look more symmetrical I removed the URL previews of the sides that Steam don´t consider 100% secure like MyAnimeList.

The middle part is filled with hidden links to music videos that I enjoy listening too (Yes, I do like Japanese music as well as many other genres), while the outside are mainly links that people might be interested in or that give info about myself. Japanese songs were chosen this time to fit the Cyberpunk part of my profile.

Note: I have made my info box the biggest size possible without having to scroll so people can see all the info in it at once, but I am using a laptop and some users need to scroll to see the whole info box.
Emoticon Art

I have been looking to get a emoticon art for this profile for a very long time, but I never knew what to get as I did not want it to be simple my name. Mosaticon is very useful when it comes to make an emoticon artwork, but it was not special enough for me. I know a few emoticon artists but I noticed a very long time ago that Gawrone was the best. Although I added him over half a year ago with the intention of ordering an emitcon art, I never got an idea of what I want. Finally Auron convinced me to just get my name as an emoticon art so I finally messaged Gawrone after all this time. After a brief discussion with him we decided that we will do a females´ face instead. This was the image that my emoticon art was based on.

The emoticon art needed to be blue to fit with the rest of the profile so certain new emoticons were aquired. One of the following drafts of the emoticon art can be seen here. The face and eyes needed some fixing and the neck downwards was not included in the art. Instead some matrix like background was used. The goal here was to create an artificial face.

After the face was done we decided to add some electric cables to the face so it is more similar to the other female faces used in the profile. I was very pleased with the final outcome of the emoticon art. It has been much better than what I have expected. Gawrone should be very proud of what he has produced. He called is his best creation yet and I cannot agree with him more.

Other showcases
For the other showcases, I decided to add as many images to them that I considered for my artworks etc. but did not use. All of them are blue and sci-fi themed of course. Items, badges and games were specially purchased to display in those showcases so they would suit my profiles theme.

The level 150 is blue which fits my profiles theme. I leveled up from 80 to 150 so I can display more showcases and to make it fit my color.

Although the blue themed showcase of Enhanced Steam is one of my least liked themes, it still looks better than the original color of Steam which is why I used that.

The item showcase features a lot of sci-fi, electronic and blue backgrounds. The item up for trade showcase features sci-fi looking and blue trading cards, which represents my interest in trading trading cards to level up more. The badge showcase and the badge set display only blue badges. Unfortunately, I couldn´t find too many sci-fi looking badges that are blue. The games are either all sci-fi games, cyberpunk themed or just have a nice blue avatar. The favorite game is not actually my favorite game, but I displayed it there because it suits my profile.

The font used throughout my profile is small capitals, a font that is very easy to read for most people (a lot of people struggle to read other fonts), but still has a clean look to it.
Credits
Certain people have helped me with my profile and made it possible for me to create it and I want to thank them for doing so.

First, I would like to thank MagicnaAnavi[magicnaanavi.deviantart.com], a very talented artist for creating those amazing original pieces of art that I used in my profile.

Secondly, I would like to thank snaws for helping with the animations of the artworks displayed in my showcases.

I would also like to thank Sweet for helping to make smaller animation used in my showcases and giving many helpful tips on how to improve my profile.

Last but not least, I would like to thank Azu for getting me interested in Steam profile design, allowing me to use her info box as a base and giving helpful advices on how to improve my artworks and profile.

Of course I would also want to thank the awesome artwork community here on Steam that guided me on this parth with many helpful guides and groups, that assisted me in making my profile. It has been a truly amazing journey for me.

From the time I first saw this profile of yours it reminded me of something , I just wasn`t sure what. And yesterday as I searched for something on the internet it just clicked: Charlize Theron in Aeon Flux, off course. Just look how awesome she looks. The movie is meh, but she`s hot. Now I like your profile even more.
