Complete Guide to Achievements + All 7 Endings
By Spyder
A complete guide to get every achievement + every ending in the game Animal Lover. They're not too difficult to figure out on your own, but I thought I'd make a guide for completionists who are struggling to totally perfect the game!

Please note that this guide was made from memory (and some research) after beating the game. If any of this information is incorrect/needs to be updated, please let me know!

Ending 1: Bad Ending/All By Myself
This isn't really a "bad ending" so much as your romance falls flat and your character remains single at the end of the game. To achieve this ending, make whatever choices you want throughout the game, and when the time comes that your boy's true colours are revealed, choose not to forgive him. Finish the rest of the game, and the epilogue will find you single and alone.
Endings 2-5: Edmund, Frankie, Miguel, and Charlie
Romancing any of these boys is straightforward. During any arguments, side with the boy whose route you're pursuing. Whenever you have the option to visit with some of the boys and see what they're up to, make sure the boy you're going for is one of the people you visit. Lastly, MAKE SURE you spend time with that boy during the "Alone Time" chapter. You will only be able to choose one boy to spend that chapter with and you learn a lot about your boy's past in that time.
Endings 6 & 7: Kyle's Endings
Why does Kyle get two separate endings, you ask? Because his is the canon route/"true" ending.

Please note that, no matter what choices you make, Kyle will commit suicide after his encounter with Mick. Don't worry too much about this, though, as the curse causes him to come back to life again. How the epilogue plays out is determined by a single choice you make.

Ending 6: Kyle's "Bad" Ending
Again, this really isn't a "bad" ending so much as that you don't end up with Kyle. You pursue his romance as you would the rest of the guys, and you choose to forgive him, but when you break into Aadara's cabin to steal her spellbook and she confronts you about his wrongdoings, tell her that you forgave him. Do NOT run away with the spellbook; that's the key to Ending 7.

With this ending, the epilogue will once again find you alone. You will know that Kyle's alive (he leaves you a note regardless of the ending), and you'll admit that you still love him, but he has not yet gotten back in contact with the group and you're left with no choice but to move on.

Ending 7: Kyle's Good Ending/True End/Canon End
This is the canon ending for the game! Pursue Kyle as you would any other boy (side with him in arguments, spend time with him whenever possible, choose to go with him during the Alone Time chapter), and make sure he confesses his wrongdoings to you BEFORE you go to Aadara's cabin- this should happen immediately after you two confront Edmund about lying. In Aadara's cabin she will try to tell you about Kyle's wrongdoings, which you're already aware of, and this is when you TAKE THE SPELLBOOK AND RUN. This may seem like a bad idea, but the other boys will fight her off until Dustin rescues you, and you and the boys will be unharmed.

With this ending, Kyle returns to the group shortly after the events of the game and is hanging out with the rest of you in the epilogue. There, you two share a few heartfelt moments and decide to act on the feelings you still have for one another. Awwwwwwww.
All Achievements
This part of the guide will tell you what all of the achievements are, including the "hidden" ones, and how to, well, achieve them! Some of them are fairly obvious, but some of them are a bit trickier unless you know exactly what the game's looking for. It's easy enough to get most of these achievements by playing through the game multiple times and trying every choice at least once.

Good Intern: Obvious enough. At the beginning of the game, listen to all of the phone messages, as tedious as they may be.

Naked As The Day He Was Born: This is a plot-related achievement. You get it simply by turning Edmund into a human again.

Cat-Man's World: Another plot-related achievement, meaning you can't miss it. You get it by turning Frankie human again.

Making Out With The Ferret Man: Same as the others; turn Kyle into a human again.

Sexy Gentle Giant: Same as the others; turn Miguel human again.

Where Did His Glasses Come From?: Same as the others; turn Charlie human again.

Serial Pervert: During "Truth or Dare" in the hot tub, dare both Miguel and Frankie to take off their pants.

Canon End: Get this achievement by pursuing Kyle's route and choosing to take the spellbook and run (see Endings: 6 & 7 for more details).

No Dinner 'Til Brooklyn: Choose to go with Miguel during "Alone Time". When he asks you what you want from the grocery store, keep pressing him to talk about his feelings.

Learned the Truth The Hard Way: Pursue any of the boys' routes, but don't get -particularly- close to them. This achievement depends on them not telling you about their wrongdoings and you eventually finding out from Aadara.

Filthy Bourgeois Loyality: Side with Edmund in his argument with Kyle over anarchy vs monarchy.

Cage-Rattling Anarcho Hippie: Side with Kyle in his argument with Edmund over anarchy vs monarchy.

Not Sure How To Respond: When you're writing up your message to Aadara, make it as confusing as possible. Choose responses from multiple boys... I tend to use a mixture of Charlie, Miguel, and Frankie. If you do it right, she'll message you back saying she has no idea what to say.

Additional Thanks Pending: When the boys write up their message to Tallulah, tell them to leave "thank" as it is, as opposed to correcting their spelling.

Party Girl: In the hot tub, accept all the drinks that are offered to you.

Learned The Truth The Easy Way: Pursue Frankie, Kyle, Miguel, or Charlie's route. You get this achievement when they open up to you about their wrongdoings.

Certified Non-Pirate: Agree with Charlie when he tells Frankie that piracy is wrong.

See?: During your game of Monopoly, choose the dialogue option that ends with "see?".

Threw Frankie Under The Bus: When you're breaking into the zoo and Kyle teases Frankie about being afraid, lie and say that you're not afraid at all.

There's No Fixing This: This is a plot-related achievement! You'll get it no matter what you do.

Well, That Was Awkward: A plot-related achievement. You get this just for watching Mick and Kyle's reunion in the bookstore.

Buck-Wild Adventure: A plot-related achievement; you can't really miss it.

Ha Ha, F*** You Kyle!: During "Truth or Dare", go against Kyle whenever he suggests something.

The Ending, Good Or Bad: Complete the game, any route!

This guide is not helpful for people who play the game just for the achievements and use an auto clicker. It would be better to list only the important answers and when to save/ load the game instead of the whole story...

Thanks for Guide. Even keeping it mind had to replay half the game last half again. Important to remember checkpoints and where to branch. I actually wish Visual Novels with Multiple Endings should have some standrad achievements not choice based. In this case finding all guys, and ending and some common ones that happen in mandatory scenes. Such VNs are not fun having to re-run again.

5. When Frankie insists you take a side in Anarchy vs Monarch debate, save checkpoint and take turns choosing both options.
6. There comes a choice Deal or No Deal See? When boys argue in apartment later.
7. Truth or Dare in Bathtub. save checkpoint to replay. Play Dare and ask boys to remove their shorts. or choose Truth all along that goes against Kyle asking for dare and getting to Fck off Kyle Achievement.
8. When they first email Adaara, save checkpoints on which boy's suggestions you need. Ones not hinting at any frustration of the boys is best.
These are the Key points where optional Achievements kick in.

One run through is usually enough, Checkpoints to remember for offbeat route achievements.
1. When they go to Zoo to Free Charlie.
2. When Lucy goes on and on about signing note with 'Thank' it comes to choice 'fix It [No Achievement] and Leave as is.
3. Alone Time save choices of all guys who to date, go out with. With Miguel at Grocery Store.
4. When confronting Adaara in Last Chapter, Not running off with Spellbooks leads to less exciting finish but learnt Truth Hard way Achievement [Depends on if you Forgive Kyle or Don't, wish to be with him or Don't forgot exactly which ones]

I am aiming at fast achievement run.
1. How long to get all?
2. What chapter does Anarchy vs Monarchy debate happen?
3. What chapters Truth or Dare?
4. How to get both Learn Easy Way or Hard Way achievements in same run through? Or does it need another play through?

I chose Truth for Kyle, no achiev. Perhaps it's going against all his choices all 4 times? I'll try that next run I suppose.

Thanks for the guide! Although regarding the "F*** You Kyle" achievement, I don't think you get it for just choosing truth for him. I actually got it after choosing truth for Charlie, although I had experimented with some other options before that as well, so I'm not sure if it was just for that or for a combination of things. Maybe you have to choose truth for everyone?
