Only mushroom soups spawned at the shop. So I found out that the amount of money I was carrying, somehow blocked the energy crystal to come up there. Maybe it's some kind of anti-hacking contraption. So... if you're having any trouble with the shops, try decreasing your coins.
Evidently I have the same issue. I had <700 coin for it to shop up in the blossom hill shop.
28. Castle Dungeon <F4>: After defeating Rat King, return to the dungeon and bomb the cracked wall in the first room with a chest.
This can easily be interpreted as teleporting to Castle Dungeon, and going up through the bombed wall after the boss room. Especially when the emphasis is on the rat king.
It's not - you have to go into the main castle, go left to the library, left again, then walk down into the dungeons, and THEN find a new wall to bomb if you missed going back to it earlier.
I was wondering why everyone was saying this should be E4 and not F4. I searched E4 over and over again and found no such chest. However, there was a house in F4 where you can drag a bed and fall into a hole where you find a chest. The problem was, I was still missing 1 heart and went through the whole list twice and still couldn’t find that last missing piece. I started a new file just to see what was in the chest in the house of F4 but it was a scroll, not a heart. Back to my searches.
I know it's years later and this is quite lengthy, but I hope this helps the next person who comes across this guide and is also struggling to find the last piece(s)
