The first notebook you might have found by accident, it's a pretty easy one. Hit the wall to the right of Estylia at the very first checkpoint past the candy gate.

The next notebook also is a bit harder, but the ledge is along the path you'd normally take. Don't worry, the harder ones are coming. After you drop down from the first notebook, go to the far left and take the top path. Then take the path in the cieling. Jump up to this ledge in the picture below.


Going left, you should find the notebook (and two candies!).

This is probably the easiest notebook to get, as it's directly in your candy grabbing path. From the second notebook, just follow the right path. You should cross 4 moving platforms, then 2 moving platforms, then a sp00ky ghost, and finally drop into a room with two candies. The only exit is at the bottom, where you'll bust open the notebook on your way down back into the main room.

Now that you're back in the main room, go to the far left again and take the bottom left path. Keep going left past Anchovi, past the waiters if you go left and past zombies if you go down left, past two dropping spikes, and then you'll find a room with spikes underneath the floor. They will start going up a little after you enter. Go to the top of the room and you'll find another pretty easy notebook.

Now we have all the notebooks that exist before the the second candy gate and the second checkpoint. As of writing this that's 18 candies, but apparently soon it'll be changed to 16 candies. Go to the big room again, and at the bottom right is the 16 candy gate. Past it you will pass a checkpoint, some spikes, and a giant hole. Skip the hole for now, and keep going right to a castle area. There are two notebooks here we need (numbers five and six). You'll run into 3 blue skulls, and then a room full of falling spiked and an exploding zombie. Then you'll pass a room with two disc throwing girls and two blue ghosts. Stop at the room pictured below.

Something i didn't know until after i beat the game, when you use your down attack while standing on those green floating platforms they'll drop. Smash the platform, and inside will be a candy and a notebook inside some boxes.

The second notebook is less hidden and a lot more work to reach; you're gonna climb this tower. Go up on the green platforms and make your way left. You'll see a ton of enemies, but dash through them and they're no problem. Then you'll find a room with a bunch of cannonball shooter guys (with skulls O.o). Climb up past them, go right past the circle of red skull ghosts, and go up using the wind current in the rulting room. Once you pass that room, you'll be on top of the tower. Congrats, let's hope you don't die up here without getting what you wanted (like i did). Immediately on reaching the top go right, and you should find the notebook a harpie boost and a dash away pictured below.

Now that we've finished the castle we only have four notebooks to go, and they are all very close to each other. From the sixth notebook location go left two rooms, and you can use mimi's chest to go down and get two candies (note: if you want all the candies you should take one more left and fight a miniboss before going down). Go left and make you way back to the giant hole. Take the leap of faith (except an NPC pretty much explains theres something at the bottom, but whatever leap of faith). Go left, then left again, and now you're in a tall room. Go to the very bottom, three of the remaining four notebooks we will find down the left path. Going left you'll find an empty hallway, which should clue you in that there's something hidden in here. Beaking the bricks, you'll find a notebook!

Fun fact: this was the last notebook i found.

This next one is ... unique. From the seventh notebook's hallway go left. In the room with two fireballs and a candy, go to where the candy is in the position pictured below.


From here jump. If you haven't collected this notebook there will be a sound effect. There is no seperate room, and no visual indicator once you've gotten it that you have it. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it made backtracking to find all the notebooks to make this guide very annoying. Shoutout to Vita#3928 on Discord for showing me it!

This last one i think most people got it pretty easily, as the visual indicator is pretty clear. From the Eight Notebook, go left to the room where every platform has a red skull floating around it.


See this platform here. Don't worry about it.
Keep climbing upward, and at the top the path splits into two directions. Go left, and you'll find two rooms connected to each other by drops and springs. In the center on the top half of this double room, there is a notebook hidden in four grey blocks.
Just one left!

The final notebook. Make your way back to the start of the hole, where the 32 candy gate is. Enter that gate, and you'll be right next to the final boss. Just before facing that boss, you'll find the last notebook hidden in the stairs.
