I use shadowplay but I've never seen an animated clip posted to the activity feed before. Neat.

Good Question! I recorded an in-game demo by typing record "name of demo" into the console at the start of the game, then opened the demo editor by pressing shift + F2 while in TF2 after I recorded the game I wanted to. I then opened a third party recording software, in my case, fraps, and pressed play on the demo, then F9 for fraps to record video of it. After I recorded what was on the demo with fraps, I took the video to ezgif. com to turn it into a gif and resize it to be under 8mb (the highest size that a gif can be on steam)
