This mod adds an active item to the game called Jack in the Box. It is recommended to play this mod either blind, or after watching the video, as the effects of the item are fun to figure out.

Jack in the Box
"Pop goes the weasel"

- 2 room charge.
- In the secret room, devil room, and shop pool.
- When used, a Music Box appears on the ground and starts winding up while playing a tune.
- When the tune reaches the last verse, several enemies are spawned.
- The bigger the room, the more enemies that spawn.
- This item has a small chance to payout with an item instead.
- The item is pulled from the pool from the room that you are in.
- After each payout, the chance of receiving a payout in the future is decreased.
- Each consecutive time the box spawns enemies, the chance for the box to payout is increased.
- This chance is reset when the item pays out.
- Gives each tear a 50% chance to be spectral for the room when used.

SPOILER WARNING: It is strongly recommended to not read the rest of this description, as a big part of the item's charm is a secret.

- After the 3rd payout, the number of enemies that spawn is increased by 1.
- After the 4th payout, the enemy pool is considerably harder.
- After the 4th payout, there is a very low chance for ♥♥♥♥♥ to spawn along with an item.
- Every following payout increases the chance of ♥♥♥♥♥ spawning.
- For the next 5 payouts, each payout increases the amount of enemies that spawn by 1.
- It synergises with car battery.
