How to fix FOV

Shogo Mobile Armor Division doesn't scale it's FOV in widescreen like a lot of games from this era. Here's how to fix it

Introduction

Playing Shogo in widescreen causes the FOV to look a little squished. This is due to the game being designed for 4:3 monitors back in 1998. Back when this game came out the average screen resolution was either 800x600 or 1024x768.

Nowadays people play games at resolutions like 1920x1080. But you'll notice the FOV looks a little squished because it wasn't designed for it. Thankfully there is a fix for it.

Step 1: Download the fix

Download the widescreen patch here

Step 2: Install the fix

Go to your Shogo folder. This is commonly located in

D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Shogo Mobile Armor Division

Now put the .rez file into the "Custom" folder

load the game up and click "Customize" in the launcher.

Click the WidescreenPatch.rez file on the left and click the "add" button in the middle.

Remember to also tick the box next to "Always load these rez files" and you should be finished.

What do you mean "It will not open" what exactly happens when you double click the .rar file

Shogo 2 was teased and will never happen :( the shogo community was heartbroken when we still existed.

and i cant access my display settings it says " No renderers were found . This problem is usually due to DirectX 6 not being properly installed . Please verify that DirectX 6 is installed and re - run the installer it necessary"
