How to fire with the mouse and fix music
By Bluebeak
By default Shogo Mobile Armor division doesn't let you fire with the mouse or switch weapons with the mousewheel. And the music ingame doesn't work. Here's how to fix it.

Introduction
By default Shogo doesn't let you fire using the mouse buttons. The ingame music also only plays during the main menu. Not within the levels.

Thankfully this is very easy to fix from within the .ini files and by replacing one of the .dll files. Make sure you read the steps carefully so you don't make a mistake.
Step 1: Navigate to your game folder
Shogo should be installed in your steamapps\common folder. By default this is in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Shogo Mobile Armor Division

Open it and you should find something that looks like this

Step 2: Edit the autoexec.cfg
Right click autoexec.cfg and press "edit"

Next scroll down to the bottom in notepad and you'll notice a bunch of lines starting with "enabledevice "##mouse"

Highlight and replace all of this with

enabledevice "##mouse"
rangebind "##mouse" "Button 0" 0.000000 0.000000 "Fire"
rangebind "##mouse" "Button 1" 0.000000 0.000000 "DoubleJump"
rangebind "##mouse" "Y-axis" 0.000000 0.000000 "Axis2"
scale "##mouse" "Y-axis" 0.002375
rangebind "##mouse" "X-axis" 0.000000 0.000000 "Axis1"
scale "##mouse" "X-axis" 0.002375
rangebind "##mouse" "Wheel" -10000.000000 -0.100000 "PrevWeapon" 0.100000 10000.000000 "NextWeapon"

Save the .cfg file
Step 4: How to fix music
Download this file here

https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/1231-shogo-prefixed-am18dll-and-dgvoodoo2-setting-suggestions/

Copy this file to your Shogo folder. Make sure to replace the existing one.

That's it. Ingame levels should play music.

That should be it. Enjoy.

Doesn't work at all, I'm getting very close to calling it quits trying to run this game playable. Huge nostalgia value, even bigger pain in my ass.

You can fix the music by simply running running "Shogo" with windows 98 compatibility mode.
The file is in Steam/steamapps/common/Shogo Mobile Armor Division. Right click the file, select properties and select windows 98 compatibility. Enjoy your music during the game.

Using the GUI doesn't let you configure the mousewheel. Since it's not listed in the options there.

I also primarily made this guide because Shogo's mouse sensitivity by default is really high so I had to set it to 0.5 in the ini

guys just a reminder, NONE OF THIS IS NECESSARY TO BIND MOUSE BUTTONS.

use the arrow buttons on your keyboard to scroll down to "left mouse button", then use the left and right arrows to select what you want it to do.

options include "fire", "jump" "transform into vehicle", and more.

repeat with right and middle.

that's it. all done! just like we did it back in 1998.
