Welp, looks like I'm dumb and forgot how to update the description properly without deleting the existing description!

Are you tired with the vanilla star names? Want something with a more military/hard sci-fi feel? Do you too read too much Honor Harrington and wish you could have a Treecat? Do you too look up at the stars and wonder if you can blow up a lot of stuff and be cool and wear a fancy hat?

If so, this mod is for you! It adds on to the vanilla Star Names list with a collection of randomly generated star names based on IRL catalogues, with a few names from various sci-fi universes that I like thrown in.

Features:
7000+ new star names, perfect for playing with a larger galaxy mod!
A collection of interesting names that get you in the mood for a hard sci-fi adventure!
Nothing else because feature creep is bad!

Recommended Mods:
Epic Galaxies (it hasn't been updated in a bit, but it still works as far as I can tell)
Real Space, if you want even fancier star types
Tripod's wonderful AI mod. It isn't actually needed, I just really like it!

Side note:
If anyone can name all the stars that are sci-fi references and where they're from, you'll get a cookie!

This mod is abandoned but anyone who wants to is free to crib my idea and make this again!

Almost certainly won't work right now, since Paradox offloaded a bunch of random name list features to localisation some time in the 3.x cycle, but a brute force copy-find-replace could make a localisation for it in about twenty minutes.
