When crouched/sliding in midair, you do not lose any acceleration while moving horizontally. This is why holding down while using a sledgehammer or going off a sideways spring sends you much farther than normal, but the practicality of this means you can even utilize it out of a standard gun jump. Hope this helps just a bit.
One more thing... Why don't you like to add some bug tricks (like shooting through walls)? I mean there are so many easy and useful bugs, which are used by many players, so they (bugs) have become a part of the game. Therefore it's not a crime to use them.
Понятия не имею зачем я писал всё это на английском, поскольку из коментариев видно, что автор русскоговорящий... Видимо мне очень понравился английский, использованный в руководстве (очень понятно даже с моим неглубоким знанием языка).
