Surfing can be a hard thing to get the basics of, but once you have them down, you'll be able to beat any surf map. When you are surfing, you have to hold the corresponding buttons that go with the side you are on. When surfing, never hold the "W" key. It will just make you go directly down the ramp. When you are on the right side of the ramp, you want to hold the button so you go towards the ramp. For example, if I'm on the right side of the ramp, I would want to hold the "A" key because I'd be going towards the ramp. If I was on the left, I'd want to hold the "D" key because I'd be going towards the ramp. Sometimes, you want to hold the button opposite of what I just said but that will be in the next section, "Advanced Surfing". In addition to holding the button to go towards the ramp, you also want to stay low on the ramp. For example, on the map, "Surf Utopia V3", there is a grey border on the bottom of the ramp. You want to stay around the grey area at all times. If you can't get enough speed, you might want to slightly look up when you are going off a ramp to land on another. It will angle you up and you will go a little higher.

Advanced Surfing is something that you can have lots of fun doing. The first thing that you have to learn is to pick up speed. When you are landing on a ramp, you can hold the button to go away from the ramp. For example, when you're landing on the right side of the ramp, you can hold "D" when you land and as soon as you go down the ramp just a little bit and then hold "A" to go back towards the ramp. It will give you some extra speed. With the extra speed, you won't have to look up when you go off a ramp. You can just always stay at the bottom of the ramp and the only time you want to be high on the ramp is directly when you land.
