Hello my fellow Jihadist, if you are reading this, then you are looking for a guide on how to play Trouble in terrorist town. With this guide you should have a basic idea when it comes to how to play, how to win, and how to troll! Read onwards!

WASD: Walk and move!
Space: Jump
Ctrl: Crouch (can sometimes be used at the end of jumps to climb surfaces)
ESC: Opens main screen.
Left Mouse: Held Item’s primary function! (If it’s a gun it shoots if it’s a crowbar it hits, if it’s nothing then it’s nothing!)
Right Mouse: Held Item’s secondary function. (Looks down scope or iron sights, or pushes if it’s a crow bar.)
R: Reload weapon
TAB: Scoreboard and the basic status of other players. Information varies on role.
Q: drops what you are holding (you cannot drop a crow bar)
E: activate object you are looking at.
C: Traitor/Detective shop
You can change weapons with the middle mouse or sometimes with 1-9 above the keyboard.
F1-F9 depends on the server.

How to Play:
The game starts with a small amount of time where you can free roam the map and collect weapons. If you die during this time you will respawn when the round starts. After the countdown, you can be 1 of 3 roles, which are Detective, Innocent, or Traitor. Innocents and detectives need to find out who the Traitors are and kill them. Detectives are automatically proven, and have access to a detective shop. The Traitors need to kill everyone who is not a traitor, by any means. It is a good idea not to let people know that you or any of your Traitor buddies are traitors.

Innocents: They are almost always the majority of players, they will likely outnumber traitors and detectives combined. Every innocent is a suspect until he is dead or he is proven innocent. You have Traitors out to kill you, so you should either hide or cooperate to figure out who the Traitors are. Innocents normally cannot obtain detective or traitor items, so if an innocent has a traitor item, you should probably avoid them unless they are proven, (just because someone has a traitor item, it does not mean they are a traitor)

Traitors: You are a smaller force, you outnumber the detectives but the innocents outnumber you! The good news is, that your identity is not known to anyone but your fellow traitors. You also have the ability to privately chat with your allies. You also have the ability to buy items to assist you in the removal of innocents.

Detectives: The smallest force are the Detectives. Everyone knows you are a detective, and knows that you can also buy items to help you track down active traitors, if your DNA scanner does not help you. While this may seem good, as the innocents know you are not the traitor this makes you a good target for the traitors, because if you are a good player, you can be the biggest threat to the traitors’ operation!

Innocent:
Travel in groups of 3-5 if you can! If you are alone, this makes you an easy target for the traitors, as their actions will not be witnessed. If you are in a group of 2, your “friend” might end up being the traitor, and kill you when your back is turned. Otherwise, an ambush from behind would result in one of you dead before the other can turn around and begin combat, leaving you alone with the traitor! If you travel in a larger group than 5, this makes your group a great target for traitors with some type of explosive. Generally if someone in the middle of the crowd also sprays a few rounds at everyone the crowd might end up in panic mode…. While 3-5 is not foolproof, it is slightly safer in my opinion than more or less.

Do not call KOS (Kill on sight) too easily! This may result in an innocent being killed and you possibly being killed for a false KOS.

Watch the traitor tester if you can! Some maps have a tester which can give you an idea of who is innocent. Avoid people who refuse to test,

Read the chat! The chat has valuable information for the most part. Ignore the fat kid that spams something weird into the chat, and look for something such as “KOS XX” or “XX acts suspicious”

Watch for anyone who looks as if they are following the Traitor tips!

Detective:
Stay with a fellow detective if you can!
Watch the traitor tester if you can! Some maps have a tester which can give you an idea of who is innocent. Avoid people who refuse to test.
Examine every body! If this person was not KOSED or a traitor, then you can pick up his DNA if it did not expire, and find the killer.

Watch for anyone who looks as if they are following the Traitor tips!

Traitor:
If you do not value your life too well, get a shotgun and buy a disguiser and armor (if the server has both) at the start of the round. Go to an area that is not too populated but not too remote, and just go on a rampage. If you are lucky, you can pick off about 1 / 2 of the innocents.
Speak into the chat often and use the microphone if you can! People seem to be more afraid of the silent types.
Kill the lone Innocents first! After all there is no one to back them up, and if you get the first strike from behind, they likely will have no chance to call you out at all.
Kill lone detectives! They are the people who can also buy armor, special items, and have DNA scanners, which can be used against you! As soon as you kill him, take the DNA scanner and run! Do not ID them!
If the Detectives are gone, try to plant a c4 in a commonly used area that is near a traitor room. Set it for the longest time possible on the server. Someone might try to disarm it, if it is near a traitor door, you can quickly open the door and put a bullet in their head while they are distracted. You should have another traitor nearby (Not too close in case the c4 blows up) to back you up in case someone gets into the traitor room.
Do not panic if you see a large group while you are low on health. If the server has it, you can buy a Jihad bomb beforehand and hide nearby. Activate it and switch to a normal weapon fast! Run to the crowd while doing so.
Prioritize the paranoid as detectives. people who are afraid of you might watch/follow you or give away information that could put the server onto high alert against you. It is very hard to do anything if someone suspects you as a traitor, and harder if you leave them alone and they confirm you are traitor after they investigate you. Remove the body so no one else suspects you.

*Note: Do not read if you are worried about being banned.
*Note: Does not apply to traitors, all you can do to troll as traitor is to Betray your teammates or be too hard to kill.
Detective:
Randomly KOS players! Say that they tried to kill you and have the other players kill them. Once they are IDed, call them out as Rdmers. If they are Traitor, then all the better!

Mass RDM! This is simple, just act like you have no idea on how to play and kill everyone you see.

Kill an innocent for killing a traitor! Just go find a dead traitor, and get the killer’s DNA, and proceed to murder him. If they report you, don’t give a big explanation, simply reply that you found his DNA on a body.

Call out random people for having traitor weapons! If you see someone wandering around with a crowbar, just randomly scream that you think you saw a knife! Make sure everyone *Knows*.
Innocent:

Have someone damage you! Call them out as suspicious, and then if no one is looking shoot next to them (Do not damage them yet) once one of their shots hit you, then do everything you can to damage them back. If you kill them and they report you, just say they shot first, since after all, they *Did* damage you first. If you are killed, report them and say they RDMed.

Set a Bind! Before you start go into the console, and do “Bind (Button) Kill” Find someone who is alone and call them out as a traitor, start shooting randomly and then press whatever you set the bind to. Then cross your fingers and hope the server gangs up on them.
Chaos! Set a bind to automatically kill yourself, and then get any gun and a smoke grenade and throw it into a crowd, then just shoot randomly anywhere, and press whatever you set your suicide to.

Karma Ban! Just keep provoking a certain player and have them kill you, do it each round until they are Karma banned.

Blockade! For lockable rooms, lock other players in them, otherwise, keep mashing “E” on a door and keep it shut. If you are on a ladder, just sit in the middle of the climb, and keep people from moving in or out. If you are killed, cry RDM.

Camp near a body! If you find a body that has not been discovered, (hopefully detective.) move it into a remote room and wait. If someone comes in, kill them before they ID the body, and say they did not ID the body.

C4 spray! If you happen to find a spray online that is of C4, copy it and if the server allows it, Spray it onto the wall, and watch as people freak out thinking there is C4.
Racist! Rename your Steam to a name commonly used by a race that often is a victim of racism, and just start annoying people.

Help the Traitor! Do what you can to help the Traitors! Get rid of bodies, donate weapons, do whatever you can imagine!

Fake Jihad! If you have a mic, and are around other people who have it enabled, Play a recording of a Jihad sound, and hope people fall for it.
