How to Remove Blur Filter/FXAA
By Rettom
I know some people complain about the nice blur in the game. That's due to a disgusting anti-aliasing filter, and I'm pretty sure it's FXAA.

TURN THE DANG BLUR OFF
Go to 'My Documents/Avalanche Studios/theHunter Call of the Wild/Saves/settings/(id number)/settings.json'

You need to open that document with Notepad. Inside the file, you'll see the following line:
"GraphicsAA": 4,
Change the value to zero, so it looks like:
"GraphicsAA": 0,
Run the game to test it out. If you want some kind of anti-aliasing, enable it through NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL.

@HOSHI82 I'll look at the game in the near future. I haven't played or followed it for a while, so a recent update may have changed things. If I don't get back to you within a few days, remind me again.

Does not work for me. The line doesn't even show up in the file. When adding it, game will set the value to 1. After changeing to 0 and write protect the file AA is still on, even when 0 is set. :(

Yes, you can do anything between 4 and 0.

Is it ok if we just dial it back from 4, down to a smaller amount?

Are the values actual increments from 1 to 4, or is it something else?

I would be fine with A BIT of FXAA if 4 means current and 2 would mean half the current amount.

Yeah, but it's a huge performance hit.

Thank you! Isn't 8x better than 4x? :)
