Beskrivning
FRANCIA (CHARLEMAGNE)
Unique Trait: Laudes Imperiales
Earn Faith from city conquests, increasing with the number of cities captured and total Faith output. Great Prophets are spawned with free Combat Units during war or trigger a Golden Age during peace.

Unique Building: Palace School
The Palace School is the unique Garden replacement for Francia under Charlemagne. Like the Garden, the Palace School increases the rate at which Great People are generated in the city. However, it also grants a burst of Science everytime Faith is spent to purchase a Building or Unit in the city. In addition, the Palace School is constructed twice as fast during an active Golden Age. It requires a Temple before it can be constructed.

Unique Unit: Paladin
The Paladin is the unique Great General replacement for Francia under Charlemagne. In addition to being faster than the Great General, the Paladin may be used to contruct Siege Units on any tile with an unimproved Forest or Jungle (in neutral or friendly territory). The unit is not expended when doing this, but constructing a Siege Unit will take a number of turns. During this time the unit is vulnerable and should be stacked with a Military unit for protection.

Paladin does not produce/make siege units when on the appropriate tile. 'Saving for great prophet' gives the option of choosing whether to get a social policy or great prophet but purchasing one does not give the option. (playing on mac)

I do not get a popup for the social policy i tried buying the great person and also just letting it come of it itself but nothing pops up, can you explain or help?
Thicclypuff 20 okt, 2016 @ 17:31

any way to get the older version of the Franks, with the abbey and such?

First time playing this Civ and it looks great. But I ran into an issue where no popup appears to choose a social policy when a prophet appears from faith. Has anyone else had this issue?

I havent played it yet, but i know from history that Charlemagne was one of the best leaders ever.

@JFD Out of curiosity, do you need someone to narrate the introduction for Charlemagne? If so, where can I contact you?
charliebuck64 16 mar, 2016 @ 10:30
Wasn't the leader of this civ the first Holy Roman Emperor/Reich?
scipio0421 25 jan, 2016 @ 6:27
Just tried this civ out and I have to say I really like it. Combined it with a very warlike religion (Pilgrimage, Holy Warriors, Religious Community, Just War, and Religious Fervor.) I never made it past the Rennaisance because hte game ended that early. The computer opponents just couldn't keep up with me spamming faith bought Franciscas.
