Great God, may I ask how to turn off the ambient lighting effect generated by the muzzle of weapons when firing in the game? When firing in the game (especially in the dark), there will be strong lighting in the surrounding environment, especially for shotguns. Rocket launchers also generate ambient lighting during flight, which is too dazzling. I cannot find the option to turn off this effect in the game settings. Is there a way to turn off the special effects in the game

It’s not quite id Tech 2 since that was for the original Quake. It’s more like id Tech 2.5

Anyone remember the Q2 mod Jailbreak?

I wish someone would re-invent it or make a stand alone game/version of it on Engine 2 or 3!

Heck put it on one of the newer ones I think that mod would go over very well nowadays with folks loving TDM/CTF and all the classics!

Just so you know, CIA Operative runs on Q1, not Q2.

To clarify, Half life uses a modified quake world engine not quake 1 or 2 so it doesn't really fall under the id tech 2 category

you should add half-life and other goldsrc games they use a modified quake engine
