What's this about
When I really like a game (like this case with Kona) I like to take notes (if the game has a great story or a mystery to solve). I did the same in The Witness, Until Dawn and similar games where there are many things to keep in mind. So from time to time, I would take notes on a notepad....the old fashion, plain paper and a pen.

Basically I was going around in Kona, picking up stuff and getting new notes in the journal...I know there is a journal which contains basic infos and hints, but still, sometimes I like to have my own notes, and I thought having the map would be nice, and I would be able to write stuff on it (to know which icon is what).

I don't even know if this is the whole map (or if there will be some new area) because I am practically at the beginning of the game and didn't explore much.

Anyway, I was not able to retrieve the map texture from the game files, and I didn't find anything online (neither official nor community made), so I did a very rapid photoshopping on a screenshot of the map in game....it may not be the best job in the world but I think it nails what's it's supposed to be, didn't spend much time on it, really. I'm going to print it and enjoy it.

I play in 3440x1440, zoom on the picture below, you should be able to download a map in 1651x1651 resolution.

In the next days I may upload the same map in a much higher resolution, so keep checking this guide if you are interested. (UPDATE: see below the first map)

Ok I tried to stitch together the map from the zoomed view....not really a good job either. One detail: when you zoom (and I did notice this) the places you visited will display their names on top of their icons......So in this version (spoiler) you will see the names of the places I already visited....so it does not include every spot in the map. Let me know what you think. Just click to zoom to the original size, which should be 4300x4300. Open in a browser window to download the picture in its original size.

yeah...it's so much more fun, this way. Also because actually having to take out the map every time was a real pain, especially in the car. I am happy the developers chose this kind of map, where not only you have the whole map available (without most icons and names on it though) but you see also yourself. Some games are really hard in other ways....where you have to discover the map yourself, and sometimes you don't even see your cursor on it (Kholat was like that). I guess sometimes it's good when it is a nice compromise otherwise it may become just frustrating and breaking the immersion.

I like the way you think. I have years ago taken photos with my camera and printed out those to help with my gameplay :)
