Due to contractual issues we need to develop our own algorithm for the next generation of public defibrillators. Due to budgetary and timing issues, we need you to design the algorithm yourself.

Obviously the calculation should be as thorough as possible as a misdiagnosis would almost certainly prove fatal - however, please also bear in mind that a sizeable proportion of these devices might never even be used, and we have already quoted a very low price for their manufacture.
