Great Mods for DiRT 3
By Faded Vantage
You know how DiRT 3 released in 2011 and the graphics were good for its age? Well, in 2017, the graphics are not that great, but they are a few mods that make the game even better!

The Mods
Dirt 3 mods are amazing in every way, and it's really good to have them, especially if you want more from the game that the vanilla version can't or did not provide.
Graphic Mods / Reshade
Ahh, good ol' graphic mods make the game more detailed with everything they have, HQ textures, improved lighting, post-processing, etc. Here are a few mods.
Graphic Mods / Reshade Part 2
Reshade
Reshade is a post-processing injector that can make games look amazing. If you want to know more, here's the description from their website.

"Reshade is a generic post-processing injector for games and video software developed by crosire. Imagine your favorite game with ambient occlusion, real depth of field effects, color correction, and more ... ReShade exposes an automated and generic way to access both frame color and depth information (latter is automatically disabled during multiplayer to prevent exploitation) and all the tools to make it happen.

The possibilities are endless! Add advanced depth-edge-detection-driven SMAA antialiasing, screen-space ambient occlusion, depth of field effects, chromatic aberration, dynamic film grain, automatic saturation and color correction, cross processing, multi-pass blurring ... you name it."

Note: You should make sure you do this before installing Reshade.
"First of all! If you want to use DX10/11 Just disable anti-aliasing in-game!

If you want in-game anti-aliasing, just use DX9 mode.
Go To C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\DiRT3\hardwaresettings

Open this hardware_settings_config and change <directx forcedx9="false" /> Into true."
A Link To The Post-Processing Mod
Since MrCheesecake's comments are hidden on the D3 video, I uploaded the post process folder, which I managed to find it. I think it was from Dirt Rally, but damn, it looks good!

Skin Mods
I'll think I will bring this up, skin mods are a replacement for unwanted skins like...Osiris! I don't hate the livery, just not a big fan of it. Here's a tutorial of how to change DiRT 3 skins.
(That video is 3 years old, so he is probably using GFWL. (or cracked because I saw a DiRT 2 Repack in his folder.) To find your DiRT 3 folder, go to C:/Program Files x86/Steam/steamapps/common, then click "DiRT 3 Complete Edition" And wala! You're there!
Where to get Skin Mods
I recommend using Rallygamer's website, he has TONS of skins for different games! http://www.rallygamer.com/downloads.php This is his youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/user/RallyGamerMedia He is active! Here's one of his videos using one of his skins on the raid lancer.
Graphic Showcases
Below is without the Post-Process mod. Below that is with the Post-Process mod.
THE ULTIMATE MOD!
Like always, I'd save the best for last, here is...THE ULTIMATE MOD! WITH THIS MOD, YOU CAN HAVE SNOW ON BATTERSEA!
Something Extra
If you want Steam Library covers, since the game doesn't have them, here you go. Full credit to Victor Hernández, aka captainbutters on ArtStation.

I think that you'll have to manually edit the xml, I don't know which lines though since I've never messed with it personally.

Thanks for the guide! Downloaded the Post Processing file. I actually like that green filter over the game, just adds a bit more of a mood in my opinion. How can I restore that green filter and keep the rest of the mod?

Nah, you have a point, I was just being naive then.

"and the graphics were good for its age? Well, in 2017, the graphics are not that great"
Personally i couldnt agree less, i think the game holds up incredibly well, in fact it looks better than many AAA games post 2020 (if you count out high settings in those games)
btw dont get me wrong awesome mods good work buddy i just dont agree with "the graphics are not that great", personally i think they hold up better then 99% of older titles, but that could just be opinion based ofc! ;D

In Grid, the filter works but with Dirt, I just found it too excessive. I may give it another shot, though, since that's how the game was supposed to look like. I just wish that they toned it down a tad bit, cause a lot of color is lost IMO.

game looks so lifeless without the post processing

Theres also a mod/trainer that allows any car type on any track/discipline. It was really fun to race rally with Gymkhana cars, or RallyX with Trailblazer cars.
I forgot its name though, but I think it should be added here as it adds a lot of variety to the game, especially because it works in multiplayer!

Question would the mods above work with the Hulk remake mod or do they conflict?

Appreciate the love bro, I can't believe that people are still reading this after all these years.

And yeah, RIP Ken, he'll always be one of the greatest.
