Differences between Standard and Journey in Uma
By wolfcub46
I made this to help any beginners or people who are having problems with the two options you are given before you start your journey fighting bad guys and completing quests.

Why I Made This
Let me tell you the reason for me creating this guide. I decided to make this guide because I wanted to help out in the community and be a nice person for anyone who requires help. I made this as my first guide as well, for my favorite game that is, and when I did look through the guides, there wasn't anything related to the guide that I have made right here. So, I decided to step up and help those in need! It's like I'm going on my very own quest too!

Anyway, enough rambling on from me. I hope you found help in this guide, beginner or not, and go forth on your journey to become a hero. Or be the hero in a game if you don't socialize much. Have fun and good luck!

Standard
In Standard, as the name states, are your regular quests you would have gone through if you have played the PlayStation version. Do not fret beginners as these quests are not difficult and are, in my opinion, a breeze to complete with little to no help. They are pretty straight forward and you won't die easily. Don't forget to ask any villagers or townsfolk you may encounter as they can help you if you get stuck!
Journey In Uma
In Journey in Uma, the one I started before I went to Standard, is a bit difficult or actually just difficult in general. I believe this one is for the extreme veterans of the game as I died multiple times from the enemies ganging up on me and also because I never played this version of the game before. The missions seem pretty challenging and the new enemies that crop up, especially in the very first dungeon, could easily kill you if you have no experience playing this game at all or have not played the PC version. So, be wary of going into this difficulty if you are not ready for it and you veterans out there can have some fun playing through new quests!
Thank you!

Journey in Uma really feels that it's a fanmade Hardcore mod, not that it's difficult it just has over leveled monsters here and there and some of those are meant to be killed in ways newbies still have to discover.

I don't know if it was intended but in my steam version gameplay of that Campaign my first back to town i was received with several monters in town and 3 npcs missing (a villager woman, the tavern keeper and the Master of Disciplines).

So yeah i consider that Campaign either bugged or just unpolished.

For those interested did i manage to kill the monsters yup baited them to the Trainning grounds where i can use weapons killed them one by one there and the last Wyvern that my character just couldn't land hits on, i just casted Reflections and tanked the fireballs (it was reflected and killed the Wyvern);

JiU looks like amateur makeshift mod. No voices, no nice random list of quests like in "Standart".
And what`s Graveyard mode?

Thanks! I never knew this before and I don't recall this being an option the last time I played the GOG version of this game.

Thank you. I still have the playstation version. I can tell you the computer version is different. The playstation version was polished and optimized.

The PC version is fun. I think maybe the Journey to Uma might be a dlc expansion where you bring your characters who beat the main game already.

I read some launch command lines that made the game easier to see in these forms.

When I first set the game up it was just shapes until entering the command lines.
