Pritchard's Weather Mod

Pritchard's Weather Mod adds over 20 additional weather options, covering times of day ranging from 5:30am to 10pm, as well as a set of overcast and foggy weathers.

Most weather presets use sun position values sourced from real world information, set to match the time of day that is being represented. This website[www.sunearthtools.com] is used to calculate the position of the sun at each time of day, with the Finnish city of Helsinki (the headquarters of Bugbear) used as the vantage point.

Each preset that is based on a specific time of day, or type of weather, as might be seen in a real place. This youtube video has been used as reference material to ensure that colors roughly represent what could be expected in the real world, while also making concessions for gameplay - shadows should never be so dark that you cannot see the track!

This mod attempts to provide greater variety than the original game, while still remaining realistic in tone and presentation. By representing a wide range of time options with varying conditions, racing with the 'random' option has never been this much fun.

At this time, integration with the Wreckfest career mode is a work in progress. Feedback on the presets selected for different events is welcome, and an ongoing effort is under way to provide coverage for every race in the career mode. Currently the first championship is covered.
