How to Defeat the Poltergeist
By Spockus
This guy can be a real hassle, especially for the first threat you encounter. This guide will minimize the pain of dealing with him, and describe the different ways of dealing with him.

Introduction
This guide will be short and sweet, like the game. There are three ways of dealing with this threat, each with varying levels of diffculty.

The three methods are:

1. Murder
2. Calling in the programmers
3. Outsmarting it
The Murder Method
This one is easy. Once you detect the poltergeist (Scan for Air and Chaos) click on the "Cleanse it with fire" prompt. Then, simply hit the "Crush" button to remorselessly murder the poor thing.

Your reward for using this method is a small Firepower Increase.
Calling in the Programmers
This one is also fairly easy. Once you have detected the poltergeist (Again, Air and Chaos) simply hit the "contact Decker and Janet" to trigger a conversation with them. They will promise to deal with the threat and you will be able to continue the day from there.

Your reward for this is a small (albeit useful) relationship increase with both Decker and Janet.
Outsmartion
If that title isn't a word, it is now. This is probably the REAL reason you are viewing this guide. Time after time after time, you have attempted to solve the riddles of the poltergeist, only to be outsmarted, ridiculed, and laughed at. You failed and failed and failed until the game stops you from trying, and you burn the spectre away out of frustration. He INFURIATES you, and you want the chaos to be over...

Now it is! With three simple words, you can get rid of this unsightly pest.

I'm not going to post the riddles here, as you've probably read them countless times. I'm also not going to bother posting how to get to the riddles, as It's laughably easy (just don't be a bossy, demanding jerk) to do. Instead, I'm just going to post the answers as they are the same for everybody.

The First Riddle's answer is heart.

The Second Riddle's answer is h (no seriously, it's h. try it now, I'll wait.)

The Third Riddle's answer is tongue.

Your reward for finally doing it, finally tricking the trickster, is to learn the motive CHAOS. Also, you should get an opprotunity later on to meet Titania (and possibly learn the matter AIR) if you talk to the poltergeist, because he will return, but he will be less of a pain in the neck.

EVEN BETTER, you can come to the guide section and post a guide about---

---too late, I already did that!
Conclusion
Well, you did it! Good for you! Now that you've murdered several times out of frustration defeated the poltergeist, you can continue the game. Good for you!

One last tip: By FAR the best route to take against the poltergeist is the riddle path. Have fun.

I screwed up the spelling of tongue. Now I have to solve these new riddles.

The typography of riddle 2 threw me off, I was like "Well, it's h isn't it?" But then I was all like "Wait a minute, it CAN'T be that simple. Is there something else I need to do?" I finally yoloed it and guessed h and it turns out I was right. Lol. GG Dev.

Well, I managed to solve 2 out of all of them myself (the one with the H I got immediately, because the typography is a dead giveaway and the "eye" one I solved by thinking :P). I used this very guide to solve three.

Can I ask you how many tried it took you to clear the 3 riddles @Malgardian? It took me like 8 tried before the 3rd riddle finally clicked lol.

No worries, just thought I'd mention it :)

I was thinking about doing something like this @Malgardian, but I could not think of any hints for the second riddle that wouldn't be a dead giveaway. I might do something like this for my second guide, though. Nice suggestion.

Nice guide, thanks. One thing, though: Maybe put the answers in spoiler tags and only provide a hint like: "Look inside you" for the first riddle (feel free to come up with a better, actually good one). Makes it so you can get some help with the riddles, but still have some sense of accomplishment ;)
