Getting Started...
The engineer is for support & defense. He can build turrets and a dispenser to support teammates and give himself metal, and teleporters help your teammates travel to the front lines quicker. You want to be a engineer? Here's the perfect guide! First of all, the engineer is useful for defense, his sentry guns are extremely effective. The sentry guns alone can make a tactical difference in the battle. Dispensers are mainly for support, because they have the ability to heal, give ammo, and metal as well. The teleporter's are for quick travel. For example, you go on a teleporter entrance, you will go to the teleporter exit if you have one that is active. If you have an exit teleporter and another teleporter entrance, and an enemy is on the teleporter exit, you teleport and kill them. This is called a telefrag. But how do you build buildings? The default bind is to press number 4 to open your PDA, if you press number 1 you are building a sentry gun, press number 2 you are building a dispenser, press number 3 you are building a teleporter entrance, press number 4 you are building a teleporter exit.
The Primary Weapons
For the weapons: The stock shotgun has no downsides but no upsides as well, but however stock weapons are sometimes the best for defense, Panic Attack can hold 4 shots in a clip, and the Rescue Ranger can help you heal your buildings and teammates buildings from a distance. The Widowmaker gives you more metal when you hit somebody with it but you will lose 30 metal so be with a dispenser or ammo box. The Frontier Justice gives you crits when your sentry is destroyed, although there is a 34% clip size reduction though, The Pomson 6000 which takes away a bit of the cloak of spies and ubercharges, does not need ammo, but however, the damage is limited.
Secondary Weapons
Now for the secondarys: The Stock Pistol, rapid fires, high spread. The Wrangler reduces your sentry damage by 66%, however, you can control where you sentry aims. The Short Circuit can destroy projectiles, but does take away metal.
Melee Weapons
There is a lot of different melee choices for the Engineer. There is the Jag, Southern Hospitality, and more. The Jag hits faster and when you hit a rebuilding or just a normal building, it makes the building you are hitting build faster, although it takes 3 hits to remove a sapper. A sapper is a device that the spy has to make your buildings malfunction and disappear after a while if you leave it alone. If your building is finished constructing, the building will be upgradable. The Southern Hospitality is great for spychecking, but don't go next to enemy pyros, because they will kill you very quickly. The Eureka Effect is great for sneaking up to enemies that have their spawn moved up, because you can just press R to go to your tele exit, without constructing a tele entrance. The stock wrench is fine, as long as you are finished upgrading your buildings. The gunslinger allows you to build a mini sentry gun rather than a normal sentry gun, you have 150 hp when you use the gunslinger, 3 hits and a crit comes out.
Enemies Section
The Spy can sap your buildings and make them unactive, it takes 2 hits to remove a sapper (3 hits for The Jag) they can disguise as your teammates and if you get backstabbed, you die instantly. Now the worst enemies are here. A combination of the Medic and the Demoman can take down your buildings VERY FAST, if you have short circuit you will have no problem, use mouse 2 to destroy projectiles, the medic can uber the demoman and make him unkillable until the uber runs out, which can lead to the very doom of your buildings.
Loadouts
If you want some loadouts here's the section. Rescue Ranger, Wrangler, The Southern Hospitality. Frontier Justice, Pistol, Gunslinger. Panic Attack, Short Circuit, Stock Wrench. The Pomson 6000, The Wrangler, and The Eureka Effect.
Engineer and MvM
The Engineer and MvM make a great pair, as MvM is about your team against ROBOTS! The Engineer especially was useful in this, as the engineer can build 2 sentries in this game mode. These 2 sentries consist of one big one and one small one too. The small one is called the disposable sentry, the disposable sentry CANNOT be healed, as it is disposable. The engineer can have two-way teleporters, so you can teleport to the entrance using the exit, and vice versa. You can also increase the amount of metal you have, and the max is 600.
In MvM, the Rescue Ranger is extremely helpful. If you want to be an engi, it's best you have that you increase the ammo you have, which is a good thing. When you have a canteen equipped, you can use it with a special canteen power-up, it's upgrades buildings, amongst press H, or whatever you have it binded to, will upgrade it mid-wave, in the first wave, and in between waves, your buildings are automatically level 3.

New Chapter: The Complete Ninjaneer Guide
The Ninjaneer is a type of engineer that places hidden teleporters next to bases to spawncamp. He tries to avoid every single thing that hurts you. The Ninjaneer is effective in attack/defense, the team that he is effective is: BLU. His recommended loadout is a Shotgun or frontier justice, a Lugermorph or a pistol and a Gunslinger. His skills are extremely hard to master, as you need to avoid most of the projectiles and headshots. But, a good thing about him is.... His mini sentries could give him revenge crits, making it easier for him to pass. And, you have 150 hp instead of the normal 125 hp. The objective for him is to place a teleporter in the front lines, if you can try and not get spotted by EVERYBODY. JUST. EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. IN THE OTHER TEAM. If you succeed to do it, you gotta hide it at a very good place that cannot be spotted.
It's time for the Weapons and the Plan.
These are the weapons for a Ninjaneer to must use.
The Gunslinger is a must for a ninjaneer, as it's mini sentry only costs 100 which can be helpful for a Second Backup Mini Sentry. It can also possibly distract your enemies while you use it to escape them and get a teleporter up.

Ah yes, the Frontier Justice. It's downsides might be a bad sight for you, but it's Criticals might be good enough to get over with that 30% clip size downside. Just get some kills/assists with your mini sentry and your good to go! Just remember, 35 is the max amount of criticals.

Of course, my friends. This is the best secondary for a Ninjaneer to use. The 12 clip size and 200 ammo + Rapid Fire is extremely good.

Those are what we always need, now. Time for the PLAN.

The plan is, you are the attacker team. You want to try and help your team by spawncamping them while your team distracts them. This is how it's played.

This is your mini sentry. If it gets destroyed, walk it off. You can still build another one. Though, if you don't have enough metal, you might aswell retreat OR just run in. There is a, 50/50 chance you might SUCCEED or FAIL.
