The fix
1.
First off, close the game and verify the game cache. You do this by going to steam, library, RMB on the game, properties, local files and then ''verify game cache''. This is just to make sure that your cache is clean.

2.
Now, you must go to File explorer. Go to where your ''Users'' folder is located, then double click your computer username (for example, mine is called Rick-PC). Now you must go to AppData, where if you go to the right folder, you will find something like this: https://imgur.com/2VP0EvV (this picture is not made by me, but I have already deleted the folder, so credits to the person that took this picture). Delete the folder permanently and your game should be working like it does normally.

3.
For most people, AppData is a hidden file. Here is a quite easy fix:
Go to View, then check hidden files: (http://prntscr.com/ecj0be)
If you did it right, the hidden folders will show up in slightly dimmer colors. Now you can just click on AppData and the folder should show up.

I thought I should make a tutorial because I found myself being confused as I did not know how to make AppData show up.

This sadly didn't work for me as the folder keeps coming back for some reason

Followed all instructions but the red connection issue triangle remains. It occasionally flickers though, which suggests the game is TRYING to connect but can't for some reason?

Since appdata is hidden, I suggest just writing %appdata% in the search bar when you click the windows button down to the left. It saves you a lot of times and you don't have to rehide the folder.
Also go to appdata/local the %appdata% will put you in roaming and that's not where games save their files, since the game is saved locally going to the local folder is a must. :candyman:
