Cradle is a two-year old game from an indie studio I figure is based somewhere in the CIS, judging by, well.....everything. There isn't a wiki page, and the Steam store information is virtually all lies.

Cradle is an abhorrent game. 80% of time is spent in a constant rehash of the same minigame, which wouldn't even qualify for Greenlight if Moses came from the lair of Atlantis and gargled Gabe's gobber for a fortnight. There are only two basic environments, and they are lifeless except for ambience. Besides the minigame, there are few "puzzles" on offer, and don't even bother wasting brainpower trying to figure them out. Just use a Steam guide.

But.

The aesthetics of Cradle are incredible. I spent at least ten minutes outside of the yurt, in maximum comfy mode, watching birds fly by, listening to the wildlife, and journeying to serenity and beyond. If Cradle were fleshed into a real adventure game with multiple areas boasting this art style, it would be incredible.

Even the little things, like floating electric tram cars, or intensely-detailed engines are designed and modeled with utmost TLC. The music is also tremendous. From a purely-aesthetic view, Cradle is a gorgeous tour-de-force.

Too bad the actual game is a dump.

PS. I know the crosshair is annoying. I spent a couple hours trying to remove it, but in the end I couldn't translate whatever ridiculous Russian engine the game is built on into common sense so I gave up. Sorry.
