Rest assured, DayZ Standalone is garbage in its current form, & Arma 2's DayZ mod is largely unmaintained & obsolete. According to the streamer I watch, for a more authentic experience in the same vein as DayZ, Arma 3's Breaking Point mod holds the most promise.
