Similar to my Siren mod, this mod was inspired by the Antibirth fan-mod-turned-official-expansion. Rainmaker struck a chord with a lot of fans such as myself, and I wanted to give players a chance to have their own dapper dancing ghost.

The main gimmick of this character is his unusual firing pattern. It may take a little bit to get used to but it should prove for an interesting change of pace. The mechanics are slightly different between Repentance and Afterbirth+, but the basic idea is the same. When you hold the fire button, Rainmaker summons an patter of tears. You can hold the fire button down to summon multiple sets of tears, and when you release the button or reach the limit your tears will launch out towards the closest enemy or straight ahead if they have no target.

As a nice little bonus, Rainmaker starts with a passive item that drops occasional tears from the sky, with a brief downpour (repentance joke, heh) when you take damage.

Repentance Version Differences
================================================
- Tears that Rainmaker summons will attempt to stay alongside him. This means you can walk them into enemies or move so that an enemy is in your line of sight
- You can now redirect your line of sight, meaning if you were aiming left and an enemy is to your right, you can still switch to firing right and your tears will identify the target
- Tears that are summoned will attempt to arrange themselves to the opposite side of Rainmaker. In practice this gives more opportunities to have tears grouped in line with you if you release the shots early
- Co-op support! Are you ready to not be able to tell who's tears are who's?

Afterbirth+ Version Differences
================================================
- Tears that rainmaker summons will stay locked in line with where they were spawned. This means you can start spawning tears and then back away and they will keep spreading from the starting location
- Tears have line of sight and cannot identify targets opposite of the direction you were facing when you started summoning them.


Since this mod is all about a new firing style, I tried to get some interesting synergies going. It doesn't cover every special item, but here's a list of items that will work with his playstyle in special ways:
- 20/20 (raises the amount of tears you can summon from 3 pairs to 6)
- The Inner Eye (every tear in the pairs will be 3 tears)
- Mutant Spider (you summon all tears that you can summon at once rather than one pair at a time)
- Monstro's Lung (every tear in the pairs will be a scattershot of various sized tears)
- Brimstone (When the pairs of tears are released, they launch brimstone lasers from their location)
- Mom's Knife (When the pairs of tears are released, they launch knives that travel a short distance before halting and vanishing)
- Technology (Tears shoot a laser when summoned and when released)
- Technology 2 (Tears fire a constant laser stream while on screen)
- Tech X (Tears transform into Tech X laser rings when released)
- Tech.5 (Tears occasionally fire extra laser shots
- Dr. Fetus (Tears turn into bombs when released)
- Chocolate Milk (Tears grow in size as long as the fire button is held, also allows rapid tap-fire)
- Loki's Horn (Extra grouping of tears has a chance to summon around Rainmaker, all launching in the same direction as the rest)
- Mom's Eye (Extra tear has a chance of summoning directly on Rainmaker, launching in the same direction as the rest)


Repentance has a few extra synergies as well:
- Eye Sore (Extra tears have a chance of summoning in random locations, all launching in the same direction as the rest)
- Ghost Pepper (Tears have a chance of summoning as very high-damage flames)
- Bird's Eye (Tears have a chance of summoning as high-damage flames)
- Spirit Sword (Tears are replaced with high-speed sword beams)
- Bookworm Transformation (Chance of additional tear directly in front of Rainmaker spawning)
- Conjoined Tranformation (Spawn 2 additional tears on each set of tears summoned)

A lot of built-in synergies and tear effects should still function as expected.

Once again, a huge thanks to the Antibirth team for their wonderful characters and mod (buy Repentance if you haven't), and the creator of the Mei mod, who's mod helped me when I originally wrote this all those years ago.

I should mention here that a user by the name of "Eternal Dorkness" (back in May 2018) donated a sprite for the Boss Fight intro screen. I put it in for those of you who don't mash space on every boss screen.

Fun character, but whenever I start a run with him, quit the game, and relaunch and resume the run, I can't fire tears anymore.

I found the rainmaker rose item with another character. Is that normal? The mod description doesn't mention it so maybe its a bug? btw I'm playing repentance if that makes a difference.

Apparently the game's MaxTearDelay stat goes negative after a certain point. Dunno how that makes any sense but I've added a catch so the mod still functions when you reach absurd tear rates.

I've run into the following error with a tear rate between 30 and 45: "Error in "PostUpdate" call: ...f Isaac Rebirth/mods/rainmaker_850336061/Rep/Repmain.lua:138: attempt to perform 'n%0'"

Basically, I can't shoot at all. This initially happened to me on a run with a bunch of different items. If I stepped into the Star of Bethlehem then I would be over 30 and couldn't shoot.

I've also enabled the debug console and given myself lots of Capricorns. If I'm between 30 and 45 then I can't shoot. Above or below, and then it lets me shoot again.
