King's Valley

Beskrivning
King's Valley is a European fictional map but heavily inspired by the topography of a place in the Alps. The large valley is the center of attention but the mountainous surroundings provides lots of interesting opportunities for development. Forest and farming areas and oil and ore deposits are found scattered on the map.

Connections are simple. Airplane paths are laid out and highway and railway leads from outside connection to the starting tile but from there you are on your own to create the infrastructure. There is no ship paths on this map. The starting tile is fairly large and flat in order to give a better start for those who use normal or hard mode.

Map can be used for both 9, 25 and 81 tiles.

I've used terrain.party to extract heightmap and Wilbur to improve heightmap before importing into the map editor. I've used almost 400.000 trees. In mountainous areas mostly conifer and in flat areas a combo of pine, beech, alder and bushes.

You will need the Unlimited Trees Mod for the map to function properly. Otherwise I've used only vanilla assets in order to provide highest compatibility so no other items are required. I do recommend to use another map theme and LUT though.

I hope you will enjoy.

@Keallu,
After noticing that I had subbed to a couple of your mods (and they were just what I needed), I decided to look at some of you maps.

I think this map does a good job of representing a mountainous valley. I'm building a medieval/renaissance type walled city on the largish hill at the confluence of the major streams.

Hi Keallu - your map was reviewed on youtube by BonBonB in his What Map.
I think you made a really good map, the only little thing is that your waterflow might be a problem, and BonBonB gives you good advice.
Overall: BonBonB and the viewers like your map, and that is good. :-)
I hope you enjoy the review - and don't forget to vote for your map. And also: if you want to get an idea how to make the best maps: I would like to advise you to watch a few of BonBonB's review videos.
Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmNjGtVhBCg
