Palacio de La Moneda

The Palacio de La Moneda (Coin Palace) was built in 1805 in Santiago, Chile. It's first purpose was to be the home of the Colonial Mint under the Spanish Empire. By 1845 it became the seat of the President of Chile, function that still has until our days.

It was designed using a neoclassical style of architecture by italian architect Joaqiín Toesca.
