Playstyle: Destruction

The playstyle of Destruction is very straight-forward, you simply deal damage to the enemy while hindering their defensive capability. Selecting this playstyle will start you with two extra Missile weapons, and Destruction parts will be cheaper.

Cannon
The Cannon is the most basic weapon, upgrading increases the amount of bullets it fires, Tier 4 allows it to turret, fitting that the upgrade is so basic on a basic weapon.

Missile
Fires homing missiles that follow your crosshair, upgrading increases the amount of missiles fired, Tier 4 unlocks the turret, allowing you to fire homing missiles... In any direction... Kinda redundant if you ask me.

Accumulator
The Accumulator is a simple part, it allows you to store more energy to be able to fire more weapons at once, upgrading increases Energy. The Tier 4 upgrade of this part also gives it a little bit of Regen.

Convertor
The most important part, this recovers your Energy, allowing you to fire weapons more often. Upgrading increases the amount of Regen, and Tier 4 adds a little Energy.

Beam
The Beam bypasses most defenses and deals a hefty amount of damage, but it has a short range, upgrading increases damage of the beam. Once it is Tier 4 it gains the ability to turret, which helps all Beams hit the target.

Warp
Warp is a sneaky weapon, it fires teleporting torpedoes, upgrading increases how many it fires. Tier 4 is magical, with the press of a button, your ship will teleport to where your crosshair is, I would suggest keeping most Warps at Tier 3 for damage, and a few Warps at Tier 4 for teleporting.

Ember
The Ember is a very important weapon, it protects all your other projectiles from being targeted by point defense while it is alive, allowing your important projectiles to live and hit the enemy. Tier 4 is just the same but bigger.

Sludge
This is one mean part, because once it sticks it never stops draining Hull until it destroys the part it's attached to, upgrading fires more projectiles. Tier 4 is terrifying, the projectile multiplies itself when it is attacking, dealing more and more damage over time.

Ruin
Deals heavy damage to part integrity, upgrading gives it a shotgun spread and more projectiles, Tier 4 is simple, it gives the weapon a turret.

Shock
Shock is a very useful weapon, it deals a lot of damage to Shield and is a fast projectile, giving it higher accuracy at long range and it often hits the enemy first at close range. Upgrading increases damage, Tier 4 isn't special.

Capacitor
The Capacitor improves Energy slightly, and will zap all enemies in range damaging their shield, upgrading increases damage and fire rate. Tier 4 doesn't add anything special.

Mortar
The Mortar is a devastating part if it manages to hit, upgrading improves damage, Tier 4 lets the Mortar charge up to 3 shots to fire in quick succession, don't overestimate this ability.
Playstyle: Disruption

Playing as Disruption focuses on weakening enemies and empowering yourself. Selecting this playstyle will start you with two extra Cloak, and Disruption parts will be cheaper.

Leech
This part drains the enemy's Energy and gives it to you, upgrading increases the leeching strength, Tier 4 shares the Energy with nearby allies.

Reactor
Probably one of the most important parts, or not, depending if you want to actually move. This part increases your ship's speed, upgrading speeds it up even more, Tier 4 is as expected, it improves your turning rate.

Aileron
Not so important if you don't need to turn around, this part does exactly what you think it does: Increases your turning rate, upgrading increases the rate further, Tier 4 imitates the Reactor and increases your speed.

Gravity
A novelty part, it locks enemies in it's projectile and carries them away with it, upgrading increases the size of the projectile, Tier 4 is much of the same.

Frost
A spine-chilling part, it fires projectiles that slow the enemy's speed permanently, upgrading increase the amount of projectiles. Tier 4 is dastardly, the projectiles now bounce, hitting multiple times, oh the horror!

Corrupt
The partner-in-crime to the Frost, this part permamently degrades enemy's restorative stats with each projectile, even leading one to degenerate themself, don't let it hit you! Upgrading increases how many projectiles it fires, Tier 4, oh God Tier 4, the projectiles bounce multiple times once again!

Drone Pad
Launches one drone at a time that follows and fires at your crosshair, upgrading improves the drone, this part is great at distracting enemies. Tier 4 is just a better Drone, simple as that.

Cloak
One of the most powerful tools in the Disruption selection, this part hides your ship from enemies, but you won't be able to regenerate any Energy while it is active unless you leech it from enemies. Upgrading increases how long you stay hidden, Tier 4 doesn't do anything new.

Ether
This weapon temporarily removes any part it hits for a short time, upgrading increases the time a part is removed, Tier 4 removes similar parts in a small radius around the first part.

Reflect
This part creates a small forcefield that bounces projectiles back at enemies, upgrading increases it's durability, Tier 4 [bounces beams too.
Link
A grappling tool, this allows you to catch faster moving enemies and reel them in to your weapons' range, upgrading improves the strength, Tier 4 converts any part it hits to your team, effectively making the enemy shoot themself.

Ram
A melee weapon, it deals more damage with how fast you move, upgrading improves damage, Tier 4 allows the Ram to steal health from the enemy to repair itself.
Playstyle: Protection

A very durable playstyle, selecting this playstyle starts you with two extra Interceptors and Protection parts are cheaper.

Drain
Steals Shield from the enemy and gives it to you, upgrading increases the power, Tier 4 returns excess Shield as Hull.

Block
Simple part, increases your Hull, upgrading increases the Hull, Tier 4 is just better.

Dissipate
Like the Block, this part increases your Shield, though it is slightly smaller than Block. Upgrading increases the Shield, Tier 4 is the same.

Armor
This part is resistant to damage, upgrading increases the resistance, Tier 4 is immune to negative effects like Frost.

Interceptor
Is a projectile heading at your ship? Not anymore, this part shoots down enemy projectiles. Upgrading increases the fire rate and range, Tier 4
allows it to target intangible projectiles like from Ether.
Guard
Generates a small forcefield that absorbs projectiles, regenerates itself using Energy. Upgrading increases the size, durability, and speed of regeneration, Tier 4 is just simply stronger.

Adapt
This part increases Hull and Shield, and slowly repairs itself, upgrading improves everything, Tier 4 greatly increases the self-repair speed when it is badly damaged.

Nano
Increases Repair, upgrading increases it further, Tier 4 is life-saving, nearby parts are repaired over time.

Channel
Increases Regen, upgrading increases it further, Tier 4 periodically regenerates the forcefields of nearby Guards and Reflects.

Radar
Allows you to detect hidden enemies in a small radius and increases your AI's combat range, upgrading increases the radius of detection and combat range, Tier 4 is even bigger.

Salvage
Don't destroy enemies, recycle them! This part collects debris from destroyed ships and parts to repair your hull, upgrading increases the speed of collection, Tier 4 is the MVP in survival, each debris collected improves your maximum Hull, eventually becoming indestructible.

Echo
Improves the effective of any part in front of it, but drains energy while active. Upgrading increases the strength and lowers energy consumption, Tier 4 is more of the same thing.

Amplifier
Extends the ship's Shield in a small radius around this part and the Shield takes less damage, upgrading improves the radius and resistance of the shield, Tier 4 is bigger and better.
