Crysis

bypassing 24 hz refresh rate
By heirbringer
I couldn't stand how jittery crysis was. and Vsync tore it down to 24 fps. So I found out how to fix this on Nvidia cards.
its super duper easy

Custom resolution
Make a custom resolution in the Nvidia control panal 1916X1080 at 60hz in change resolution options. You can keep your native to the same. Save and go to manage your 3d settings.
last step
Change vsync to fast in the 3D settings in program setting for the crysis INI. save and it should be good to go! you can also enable tripple buffering too. it seems to help performance. Open your game and choose your cutsom resolution and you should leave the ingame V-sync alone. That's it!
Notes
I am running this in compatiablity mode with the 64 bit launcher
One last note, only buy this game from GOG, i assume its better. has no DRM, and doesn't stop you from downloading it more than 50 times like the steam version does. Anti consumer practice for sure

Oh shit someone that actually read the EULA.

Well there is a EULA in the store page where it limits you to 50 machine installs. So there is a bit of DRM

I bought crysis from Steam, all i had to do was dowload some files in order to get it to run in 64 bit. No DRM either,i can play the campaign at my own leisure. What are the potential differences between this one and the GOG version?
