Some things may be different to what you may experience, like the arc skins [colour and shape], the orbs and the shaders. These can all be customized in the "Items" area.

There are a few rules / game mechanics set in place to play the game and in order to play well, you must know how to follow these.

You have to destroy the "arcs" in order to beat any map, and they can come in from any side, in any amount or direction [Up, Down, Left or Right]. An arc is a red curve with white closest to the center that descends down the screen (default skin) and it looks like the picture below:



You also have lives. These can be lost by incorrectly pressing the wrong key; making you miss the arc, missing the arcs altogether or by trying to use a powerup when you don't have on [this will be considered as an "incorrect" in the final screen I found]. There is no set "life count" for everything, as certain levels can range from 15 lives to 3.

While playing, you can come across a "checkpoint" which can be used to play at the area you stumbled across it at, but at the cost of 1000 points which will be deducted at each start from the checkpoint.

You can get your score to increase by destroying arcs on the "crosshair". The closer you are to it, the more points you can earn. What the "crosshair" is, is a faint, grey outline just outside the bright orb in the center of the screen.



Other than the points and checkpoints, the game will also be monitoring your correct and incorrect "arc destructions", how many powerups you picked up on your current song and the longest combo you have achieved. It will also keep your highest score achieved so you can battle against yourself and get the highest score possible!

What is listed below can always be changed when going into the settings and looking at the right corner. You can then start clicking any of the white squares and then press any button to replace the key previously displayed.

It is always smart to choose controls that are best suited to be comfortable and doesn't put pressure on your hand(s), but it is efficient to play with.
