This fix was originally discovered by Future2012 on steam forums - forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2592425 I'm posting this fix in guide format since people are still asking how to fix those problems on Genesis Rising steam discussions.

If you having trouble with autosave / no ships in mission 2, you should manually create folders in game directory.

In C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Genesis Rising
Create three new folders called 'replay','temp' and 'save' (without quotes)

Then in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Genesis Rising\data
Create a new folder called 'scripts' (without quotes)

Чтобы исправить нерабочие сохранения и отсуствие кораблей во второй миссии кампании, нужно вручную создать следующие папки.

В директории с файлами игры (по умолчанию находится по пути C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Genesis Rising) нужно создать 3 пустые папки с названиями replay, temp и save.

В папке data (по умолчанию C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Genesis Rising\data) нужно создать папку scripts.

how come my version seems to have come with ALL of those folders already?
Only things I needed on my Win11 is the Exe's off google drive (also available in this forum). Also had to unpack ALL the zip folders in the worlds folder. Just put them right in the same folder. Strange game that comes with unpacked files, hahah. So yeah, I had to do BOTH those things, and I play at 720p FULLSCREEN. I tried every other res in fullscreen AND windowed.

I had the same idea of writing a guide glad to see you did the job already. How they still sell this nice little game in a broken state after all those years is beyond me.
