Genesis
The great Creator that we now know to take the name of Cryptic Sea approached the great black void. It was empty and this disturbed him. He tasked himself with creating the world in which we live in a mere seven days. He succeeded. He spoke words unto the void, words that brought light and land to the blackness. Words that raised towers from nothing. And words that breathed life into us all. The great Creator allowed us to live in his world and tasked us with one goal: to accumulate wealth. Everyone must work towards this task whether or not they acknowledge the great Creator for this is his world which is governed by his rules.

At first, we were divided in two, Goldmen Inc and Monsota. One side would create the product while the other would purchase and distribute it. It was profitable but slow, yet we were on our way to appeasing the great Creator. However, many found this process too slow and so a third was formed, OXS International. One that operated under trickery and deception. Cryptic Sea did not wish that misdeeds went unpunished and so gave us the tools to enforce justice amongst ourselves, firearms. Despite this, no form of government was ever officially formed. It was total anarchy with individuals taking justice into their own hands with OXS's trickery infecting the other two. Soon everyone was at each other's throats.

By the sixth era, the great Creator had enough. He would send creatures to punish us. Creatures that looked just like us but were devoid of emotion. They were cold and calculating and were given a single mission: to eliminate us. Under one banner they were known as MegaCorp. But their creation was not an act of malice. Instead, it was to teach us to once again work together. Though no government was formed, leaders rose to manage each corporation when it was necessary. These managers kept the more disruptive members under control and violence was reduced, but not eliminated. As proof that the creation of MegaCorp was a test and not a purge, we were rewarded whenever a patrol was defeated. What could be found amidst the carnage would be a floppy disk. In these disks would contain information that further assisted us in accruing wealth.

As the seventh era rolled in more disks were found and of different types. New vehicles and firearms were developed and the corporations only sought more disks. Even the violent OXS would sometimes partake in a peaceful negotiation to acquire their favored disk. However, that's not to say it was a time of peace. People still fought each other perhaps as much as they fought MegaCorp. But it was not the total anarchy it was in the fifth era. That would have to do for the great Creator for he had other worlds he needed to tend too. Though he was not finished with ours neither was he with the others.

And so before Cryptic Sea would leave us he would grant us a protector. From the original firearm, he presented us he fashioned a new handgun. One with more power than the most powerful rifle, but it was not for assaulting for it would only allow six discharges. This weapon would only present itself to those who have proven themselves worthy of wielding it by defeating many MegaCorp agents. And we would come to know it as MAGNUM. MAGNUM knows what is best for us and we must seek MAGNUM'S guidance lest we destroy ourselves in the great Creator's absence.
First Praise
After the great Creator left our world to us in the seventh era life began to normalize. New agents would come and go. Many would succeed in obtaining incomprehensible amounts of wealth with which they would flaunt not knowing what to do with it. Still, some would find this world too much to bear and either give up or forever live in poverty.

Some time had passed and one agent had made his way to our world. He was eager to learn new skills so that he may be among the great and wealthy. Unfortunately, it was slow going for him. His adversaries were much more experienced than he was and firearms were difficult to grasp. Instead, he learned to negotiate and prove that the pen is mightier than the sword.

This agent had heard myths and seen glimpses of the legendary MAGNUM but was not worthy of Its guidance until he was more proficient in his trade. As time passed, the agent grew more and more curious about our mysterious protector. He sought answers that none could give. It was not until he was confident enough in his time within the world that he would pass down his knowledge to younger agents that he himself would become enlightened. One day, after sending his newest student out into the field himself to test his abilities, the younger agent came back with an odd looking handgun. The agent had shared enough knowledge with his protege for the young agent to recognize the importance of the handgun and bring it back. The teacher immediately recognized it as the holy artifact it was, an avatar of MAGNUM.

After years of living in this world, the agent had learned that automatic rifles were far superior to the first gun, 9mm, and so had doubts about the practicality of the large handgun which could only hold half the ammo of a 9mm. And it is true that MAGNUM does not wish to be used in the name of mass murder, however, that does not make It weak. MAGNUM has the potential to end any conflict faster than any rifle. This was demonstrated to our agent when an ambush to a trade negotiation was swiftly foiled by a mere three discharges. It was shortly after this event that MAGNUM revealed Its divine importance to the agent. It would take more time to clearly decipher MAGNUM's purpose but the current message was clear: MAGNUM was worthy of praise and others must learn. This was just the beginning of the Order.

Unfortunately, like many new beliefs and ideas, the message of MAGNUM was met with some resistance. While the agent turned prophet could easily convert his co-workers, not all of the members of other corporations would listen. The prophet did his best to spread the message but it was slow going. Eventually, those that tired of his preaching managed to steal the holy artifact. The prophet had attempted to retrieve it with as little violence but too much tension had formed. Chaos had exploded forth with arrival the blight that is MegaCorp. Vehicles went flying and everyone involved was either dead or in critical condition. Everyone except the prophet. Though he was free to search the area he knew he would not find the artifact because MAGNUM does not condone the mass killing of agents. Believing he was the cause, the prophet uttered a prayer in hopes MAGNUM would forgive and then atoned in the only way he knew how. He shot himself. Onlookers were so moved by this act if faith that they too became believers. Even some of other corporate members had been converted. When the prophet was resuscitated, he was greeted by many new followers and so the Order was formed.
Chariot
A group of agents came back from a failed mission. They were arguing and throwing blame at each other. It would appear that they insisted on driving different cars.
"I could have made that turn if you weren't in my way!"
"Why don't we all just ride in one car?"
"Alright, let's all ride in my minivan."
"Are you retarded [mentally handicapped]?"
The agents continued to bicker about which car was best until one decided to ask the Lord for advice and MAGNUM answered.
Place me in the hands of a heathen
And so the believers gave MAGNUM to a non-believer. The non-believer convulsed in pain as MAGNUM took over his consciousness.
Now attempt to apprehend me in your chosen vehicles and we shall see which is superior.
MAGNUM then left the agents to continue bickering.
"Obviously the turbo will work best because it's the fastest car! Just watch, I got this."
So the agents gathered around as the turbo driver attempted to chase down MAGNUM. As he approached at the end of the long stretch of road, MAGNUM turned around and simply sidestepped away from the turbo as the car crashed into a wall. The car was totaled.
You may be fast but what is speed if you cannot pursue your goal?
Another agent piped up, "Ha, I knew turbos weren't the best car. Beamers are much more maneuverable and still fast!"
The beamer weaved in and out of traffic and expertly drifted around a tight turn but all it took was for MAGNUM to fire a single shot into one of the beamer's tires for it to spin out and slam into a pole. The beamer was also totaled.
Yes, you are more maneuverable but you are still too fragile.
"I don't get it, what car could possibly stop him?" one agent lamented.
"A town car?"
"No, I have an idea. Everyone, follow me."
A hulking piece of metal was seen barrelling down the road. Anything that got in its way was promptly knocked to the side. MAGNUM shot the tires but it was too late, the van had already built up too much momentum. In a last ditch effort, MAGNUM dove behind other cars and braced for impact. The van knocked over the cars and MAGNUM and came to a stop. Dazed and confused, MAGNUM attempted to stand up but before he could gain his bearings, 6 agents emerged from the van and gunned him down. The van was bathed in his red blood.
Now free of his mortal tether MAGNUM rose and spoke:
You see, the fastest vehicle may not always be the best solution. The van's mass allows it to take on any obstacle with its sheer stopping power and it's 6 seats allow for transportation of as many individuals as I have chambers. Therefore, from this point on, I decree the van my Chariot.
With the argument brought to a decisive end by their lord, the agents all piled into the Chariot and continued onto their next mission which they completed successfully.

Thus is why the van is held in such high regard in our society.
Great Purge
The seventh era was by far the longest. Time passed without many words from the great Creator. All we would get were sparse messages from blue birds. Though the blue birds appear to be his preferred means of communication they can not transmit messages that are too large and he did not send many. This was a sad time for the Order as well for how could we increase people's faith in MAGNUM if they're already losing hope in the great Creator?

The blue birds brought word of a change in the eighth era but alas there was nothing. They would show us fantastical improvements of the future, but they never came. It was not until the fifteenth era that new hope was sparked. Though the great Creator is above us, he and his peers are not without fault. Our great Creator, Cryptic Sea, had gathered others like him who also create worlds to work together and help each other with their respective worlds. During this collaboration, our great Creator had created a portal to our new world so that he may show the others. This portal was not meant to be accessed by mere mortals like ourselves. However, one such mortal, though drunk and tired, managed to follow a creator of fires and wolves to the portal. There he learned to open and duplicate the portal so that others may access this new land.

Despite our Creator's anger, many found themselves drawn to this new land. The small and empty "city" the agents had familiarized themselves was gone. Instead was a much larger city populated by the MegaCorp blight. Though these instances if the blight did not seem outwardly malicious the agents would soon learn that it was merely because they were not armed. This new land was also found to have different laws governing reality. This forced the agents into a position in which they must learn new skills and possibly do away with existing ones should they wish to remain relevant. The journey into this land changed the lives of many. Most seemed to have their faith in the Creator renewed, eagerly waiting for him to reveal more of his plans. Though others could not handle the change very well. In their misguided fear they denounced the great Creator and returned to their homes attempting to cling to the old ways of the seventh era.

More time had passed and the great Creator was hard at work. The twentieth era was fast approaching and Cryptic Sea had accomplished much. A new land, one far greater than the one we managed to glimpse in the fifteenth era was in the works. Though this time our Creator demanded tribute for access to this land. Up until now, our great Creator had been working out of benevolence. However, benevolence alone cannot sustain an entity, not even our great Creator. At first, the tribute was not much to compensate for the fact that we were running on faith and faith alone, but as it became apparent that this new land was becoming a reality the tribute demand increased as more agents attempted to claim they were worthy.

And so the first purge was enacted as those could not or would not pay tribute were left behind. There were also those who simply did not want to journey to the new land and denounced our Creator. Many people were lost in this journey: friends, family, and even members of the Order were left behind. Due to a lack of members in the already small population, our religion faded into obscurity. Our prophet, who was obviously worthy enough to make the journey, did not want to push for a resurgence so soon as everyone, including him, was only just getting their footing and possibly sparking another religious conflict was not high on his priorities.

Despite our Creator's effort at keeping out the unworthy there still existed those who defied him and inhabited our new home without paying the much-deserved tribute. At first, they were nearly indistinguishable from the worthy but in the twenty-fourth era our Creator, Cryptic Sea, revealed the traitors among us by stripping them of their names. Though we were never instructed to do so, the Order took it upon itself persecute the nameless heathens. Many agents, whether religious or not, denied them service our even went so far as to hunt them down. These "pirates" as they became to be known were often unnecessarily violent, moronic, or both. While there were exceptions many people believed their defiance of Cryptic Sea was reason enough for damnation. To the Order, the message was clear, "MAGNUM shall not suffer a pirate to live."

This went on until the twenty-fifth era when our Lord ended it for good. The persecutions did nothing to deter the growing number of pirates and so or Creator stepped in and removed them from our lands. Now any new arrivals are carefully scrutinized for their worthiness before acquiring access to our world. And thus was the second purge.
Second Coming
With the great Creator returning to take a more active role with his creations in the twentieth era, MAGNUM's duty was fulfilled. MAGNUM rested and the Order became a fraction of what it once was, almost forgotten. The prophet lived his days as anyone else, working for megacorporations to appease the great Creator. Alas, it was not to last.

Despite the great Creator's influence, there were those that would defy him and sow chaos through the city. Our Lord, Cryptic Sea, is not omnipresent and could not hope to smite all wrongdoers. Neither does he want to for it is his will to see us learn to be righteous of our own accord. Many took justice into their own hands, seeking vengeance for themselves and friends. This was inefficient proved to do little more than pour more gunpowder into the sparks of chaos.
The prophet knew the only solution was through divine intervention. And so, after many eras, MAGNUM was called upon once more to protect the righteous.

Though divine intervention was necessary, it must be directed by free will. The great Creator fragmented the original MAGNUM and scattered them through our world to be found by His creations; all of them. This included the wicked MegaCorp. Among those who sought the fragments of MAGNUM, MegaCorp too attempted to unlock the power that was once theirs in an attempt to once again terrorize agents.Though MAGNUM's origins can be traced to them, It is a champion and protector of agents.

Individually, each Magnum is weaker than MAGNUM though when a member of MegaCorp attempts wield a fragment, they find that they themselves are not strong enough to use it effectively. Unfortunately, their sinister ways managed to permeate many fragments to twist and corrupt them. These tainted fragments are meant to lead their users astray and encourage reckless aggression in contrast to MAGNUM's calculated defense. These Uzis were the revenge of MegaCorp for MAGNUM's lack of cooperation and were left to be found with the other fragments to corrupt those who wield them.

Most corporations did not see the value in religious artifacts and wished not to waste resources on obtaining them. However, independent weapons distributors recognized the profitability of such an effort and scoured the land for fragments to be sold at a high price. We should not fault them for this as they are merely following the will of the great Creator. Rather than curse these distributors for extorting believers, we should thank them for accomplishing the feat of finding the fragments and providing a test of one's belief. For no price is too great for our Lord, MAGNUM.

With every wielded fragment, MAGNUM's will grows stronger, yet with every tainted fragment, we risk corruption. Thus it is every believer's duty to carry at least one Magnum on them at all times and dispose of any Uzi they may find. We must not fret about passing on our fragments along with the word for we know where to find more. MAGNUM has helped us in the past and now we must help MAGNUM to continue to benefit from Its good grace.
Divine Intervention
As more fragments of MAGNUM were found many agents decided to make use of them. Many of them had never before heard the word of MAGNUM and so misinterpreted the value of the fragments. Perhaps misled by the vehement praising of the prophet and other followers, those that acquired a fragment were under the impression that they possessed a divine tool of destruction. An oxymoron of course, for what is divine shall not be used for chaos.

These agents often found themselves in dismay as they realized the fragments would not make them all powerful and those that sought to enforce their will on others now found themselves at the mercy of their would-be victims. Among these agents were a few that saw the truth. Their faith was tested and they emerged enlightened.

One such agent had attempted to use the fragments to excel in his corporate duties. In every encounter, he found himself vulnerable and in need of assistance from his colleagues. He had spent a considerable amount of money to unlock the secrets of the holy artifacts only for them to seemingly fail him at every opportunity. When his colleagues retired to their homes at the end of the day he was fighting off feelings of doubt and disappointment. He unloaded the spent casings from his Magnums, got in his car, and left his place of work.

Without warning, the agent found himself under attack. An unknown assailant was chasing him down the road, wildly firing their rifle at him. He did not know why he was under attack, perhaps it was a rival agent falsely targeting him for the day's events or maybe the corruption of the Uzis had spread their malice. The motive mattered not to our agent for it was clear that the mysterious assailant wanted him dead.

In the mad chase, the agent's car was totaled. The wreck came to a grinding halt at the train stop just as one was arriving. The agent thanked his good fortune, perhaps something more, and quickly boarded the train. To the agent's dismay, his adversary was not so easily deterred. The agent watched helplessly as the assailant raced ahead of the speeding train to the next stop.

By the time the train arrived it was dark, almost pitch black, but the agent could still make out an armed figure standing in front of a car through the train windows. Knowing it was empty, the agent drew a Magnum hoping the foe would fall for his bluff. No amount of warning would dissuade him, though. As the assailant boarded the train the agent uttered a quick prayer and prepared to face his fate. A single shot rang out in the darkness. Only the agent stood. Though MAGNUM had not helped him in his lust for power, when the agent needed help the most, MAGNUM was there to defend him.
Ballistics
Two moderately successful agents had heard word of new novelty weapons. They made their way to the nearest gun store to see what the news was about. They were greeted with two new handguns, the Magnum and Uzi. One, eager to show the world he was wealthy, immediately purchased the more expensive Magnum and plenty of ammunition. The other, more frugal than his partner, decided to go for the more economical Uzi. They went to the gun range to play with their new toys.

"So much power in such a small handgun."
"I know, they really put the 9mm to shame."
"Check out how fast this thing fires, it could really tear someone up!"
Feel the kick on this beauty, I definitely don't want to be on the recieving end of this!"

They were more than satisfied by their purchases and could not wait to show off to their co-workers. The next day, they arrived at their corporation headquarters and awestruck their colleagues. They recieved a mission to raid a building currently occupied by MegaCorp agents, not a problem for experienced agents like themselves. They assured their co-workers that they could handle the mission on their own and left.

"Hey, why don't we use our new handguns," the frugal agent suggested.
"Aren't they only novelty guns though, seems kind of risky," pondered his partner.
"You felt how powerful they were yesterday, let's see the real deal. Besides, we've done this so many times we could probably do it in our sleep. Let's spice it up a little."
"Alright, but we should probably take it slow until we get the hang of it."
"Maybe you and your $200 bullets can take your time, but I think me and my automatic handgun can do this in 5 minutes top."
With that, the frugal agent charged in before his partner could protest. Gunfire quickly rang out as the agent used his uzi to clear out floor after floor. Before he could claim his prize, he was confronted by one last agent. His weapon was empty, he wasn't paying attention to his ammo. To be taken out by a MegaCorp agent is a disgraceful death. Before the blight could take advantage of the situation, he was sent into a backflip, spraying blood out of what was his face. Behind the frugal agent was his partner with a smoking Magnum.
"I told you to take it slow, you nearly died!"
"Yeah, guess I'm used to having 30 bullets in the mag... Gotta remember it's still a handgun with limitted capacity I guess. Still, way more than yours though!"
"Yeah, well my limited capacity, just saved your life, did you see how I sent that guy flying? Anyway, let's go, don't want to keep the others waiting."
The agents returned to their corporation with a mission success, they day was otherwise mundane and profitable for the wealthy agents.

Days went by and the agents found themselves called for another mission against MegaCorp. This time a limo was driving around in the city containing a valuable floppy disk. Again, not a problem for our experienced agents. They tracked down the limo easily enough and chased it until it crashed in an intersection with another MegaCorp limo. Both limos were gunned down rapidly from multiple angles. The agents got out of their car and came face to face with the persuers of the other limo, a rival corporation. Meeting agents of other corporations is always tense and this was no difference. Everyone still had their rifles out and the frugal agent was one edge. His partner, however, decided show some good faith and put his gun away. This could be solved peacefully.
"Okay, there's two limos here, but we only need one disk," announced the Magnum wielder.
The other agents started to relax.
"So, which disk do you-" Our agent was cut off as the rival agents were gunned down in front of him. He instintively took cover behind his car and prepared to return fire to the new asaillant.
"Haha, no need to hide, I got them all." That was the voice of his partner. He looked up to see the frugal agent grinning proudly in front of the now dead rival agents spinning his Uzi by the trigger-guard.
"You... you killed them?!"
"Yeah!"
"Why?! We could have easily solved this without any violence!"
"Oh come on, they still had their guns out, they were totally gonna shoot us in the back. Gotta get them before they get us."
"They were scared! It seems for good reason too... Come on, let's just get the disk and go before someone sees us and realizes what happened."
The two agents returned to their corporation, a mission success. Though the Magnum weilder worried about what became of his friend. Frugal by nature, he often desired to avoid expensive firefights as they are costly in both ammunation and medical assistance.

More days went by with the once frugal agent engaging in an increasing number of risky situations. He developed an affinity for his Uzi and found himself spending more of his once heavily guarded money on ammunition for it. These new changes worried his partner as he felt he was losing his old friend to something he could not quite explain. The Uzi wielder would often leave on his own claiming he could handle missions on his own and returning with a smoking gun and a bloodied suit without fail. It was not long before the Magum wielder would only see his friend in the morning and evening when they would clock in or out. It would seem that their partnership was no longer mutually beneficial.

A day came where the Magnum weilder called upon to track down yet another MegaCorp limo. Without his partner, he instead gathered his less experienced colleagues and searched for the limo. The limo was sighted and the chase began. As they approached they were suddenly T-boned by an unseen car. The impact was powerful and our agent briefly lost consciousness to the sound of gunfire.

When he came to, he was presented with a horrifying sight. All of the passengers in his car were dead, riddled with bullet holes. There was no sign of his attacker other than the wreck of a car embedded into his. He crawled out of his own wreck and saw a familiar figure infront of him. His old partner, scratched and bloody.
"Oh man, am I glad to see you! Did you see who attacked us? You scare 'em off?"
"... No."
"Well, help me get to the hospital before they get back, I think the impact gave me a concussion or something. Where's your car?"
His partner slowly looked behind him at the car wreck.
"Yeah, it was pretty bad, I know."
"I did it."
"What?"
"I attacked you."
"What? Why?"
"I was following the limo."
"Yeah, that was our mission."
"I didn't know about the mission."
"... Then why follow it?"
"I've been using them as bait."
"Bait?"
"For other agents... Killing MegaCorp... It just doesn't do it for me anymore. They're too easy. I need challenging prey. So I follow the limos, stake out raid targets, and ambush those that seek to their rewards. I didn't even pay attention to the ties. Nearly killed you before I recognized you..."
"That's... That's wrong! We're only supposed to kill MegaCorp or in self defense!"
"Why? What makes us so much better than MegaCorp? They don't even attack me anymore, it's like they know I'm helping them. I don't think they're the mindless killing machines we've always been told."
"They probably only stopped shooting at you because they can't tell the diference between you and them. You're all murderers!"
The limo pulled up next to them. Oddly enough, the occupants were not firing at either one of them. There was one free seat.
"Maybe you're right. Maybe I am one of them."
The Uzi wielder undid his tie and let it drop to the ground.
"What are you doing? We're supposed to destroy MegaCorp, not join them! We were supposed to become billionaires... together!"
The agent moved towards the limo. He turned back before getting in.
"I'm sorry, but it seems that our paths are no longer moving in the same direction. For your sake, I hope we do not meet again..."
With that he stepped in and the limo sped off. For the first time in since he became a millionaire, the Magnum wielder failed a mission.
The Renegade
Sometime during the twenty-fourth era, the Order began to reform with both new and old members. The prophet had made quite a name for himself and made powerful allies and cunning foes. The Order was constantly spreading the word whilst following the great Creator's will.

Many disapproved of the Order's methods and sought to destroy the property and his allies. After an extended engagement of one such group, the prophet and friends received an unexpected visit. An agent they were fighting not long ago appeared at their doorstep. Many were skeptical but the man assured the Order that he had denounced his former leader and wished to work together for the betterment of all. MAGNUM is not above forgiveness and so the prophet embraced this new change of heart. Over time, the rest of the Order grew to love him as one of their own.

The renegade saw how well the prophet could amass followers and dreamt of a way to do the same for profit. He proposed an idea to the Order. The state of affairs in the city was far from perfect at the time. The addition of the fourth, and now fifth, corporation served to fracture the agents further. Violence had increased so much that not even the unemployed were safe. In many instances, it was the unemployed themselves committing the violence. The renegade sought to fix this.

He proposed to unite as many agents under one banner, a union of agents. Because enforcing religion in the workforce was taboo, it was not to be owned by the Order but supported by it. The union was not owned by any one corporation and had worked for all of them at some point or other, though the renegade was quite partial to OXS International.

The union grew quite large and quickly too. So many agents had joined that their mere presence often intimidated others to following their will. All who defied them were dealt with without mercy. It was not long before others began to rise up against the union. At first, they were scattered and disorganized. The idea of a union was new and scary to them but it didn't take long before they realized that they had to fight fire with fire. A group of Nexaco employees attempted to band together to stand up to the first union. The resulting conflict was so great that even the great Creator, Cryptic Sea, had to stop and watch.

Though the Nexaco born union stood their ground, they were no match for the sheer number of the first union. Other unions attempted to form but none came close to having the same impact. The first union was uncontested once more, but the complaints had not ended. Whilst the Order tried to encourage union members to follow the teachings of MAGNUM many still saw them as oppressors. Up until now the Order was giving blind support, hoping to keep the members within an acceptable morality. But the problems were impossible to ignore. Even the some of the members were complaining about poor compensation as the wealth was not evenly distributed. Perhaps with time the Order could have improved conditions of the union, but alas, that was not to be.

During the transition from the twenty-fourth era to the twenty-fifth, a fledgling media group held a poll to see which groups had the support of the public. Despite the many flaws of the union, most agents saw it as a benefit overall. However, many more agents started turning to religion and the Order of MAGNUM found more supporters than the first union. Shortly after, the renegade had become reclusive. He had plans, plans that needn't be revealed too early.

The renegade was never interested in enlightenment, only power. He could not be the most powerful man in the city by staying in the prophet's shadow. And so members of the Order soon find themselves to be victims of assassination attempts. Imagine their surprise to find their assailants to be members of the very union they not only supported but assisted in creating. With their membership now revoked the Order turned to one man for answers. When questioned, the renegade attempted to absolve himself of blame by pointing towards the new head of the union, his former leader, a foe thought long gone.

For a time, tensions were high. Without the Order to guide them, the union was now without a doubt morally bankrupt. Members of the Order found themselves looking over their shoulders out of fear of more assassination attempts. However, nothing happened. The renegade disappeared once more and the new leader of the union was found unfit for duty. The first union fell apart and things began to return to normal.

This normalcy did not last long, however, as a power vacuum was left to be filled by new unions looking to succeed where the first one failed. Among these was one formed by former members of the first union. They adopted a similar name and immediately began to reclaim members of the first union. Soon they assimilated other unions so that once more only one union existed to control the city. During this new union's rise to power, the Order became quite suspicious but felt it was not within the realm of their responsibility to act against them or any of the other unions. At least, not until the renegade had returned and revealed that he had orchestrated this new union's dominance.

Unfortunately, it was too late. The renegade took a clean slate to renew agents' hopes for improved working conditions under his lead. The Order would attempt active disruptions to the renegade's work but MAGNUM was not behind them. Our Lord does not condone excessive force and made clear that the path to victory was not through blood but through the mind and soul. And so the Order would take a more passive approach. They would preach to those that would listen and spread the word.

Enlightenment was made available to all and even touched the minds and hearts of even the higher ranks of the renegade's union. It was not long before members of the union began questioning the renegade's choices and saw him for the corrupt hypocrite he really was. One such member approached the Order to request support in an uprising. It was clear that this was MAGNUM's signal to dismantle the renegade's power once more. What started out as a few sabotaged missions rapidly evolved in an all out battle. Former members of the union shedding the blood of the renegade's loyalists in the name of MAGNUM. Justice was swift, the renegade was chased out of the city, and his union was destroyed. With the renegade gone the city became, once again, peaceful, for a time.
Schism
A great deal of time passed since the renegade's defeat. The city now found itself isolated from the outside world with no new agents arriving to seek their fortunes or spread new information the corporations may desire. The economy grinded to a halt as the city settled into monotony. Many agents lamented as it would seem the great Creator had abandoned them and the blue birds could not show them visions of the future and instead showed them a questionable sport.

However, in an effort to dispel the notion he had given up, the Creator reintroduced the city to the world. Immediately, new agents migrated into the city to see what they thought was the promised lands. Such a large surge was nothing more than chaos as new agents from far away attempted to stake their claim in this unfamiliar territory whilst those that had already been here attempted to defend their own.

In this chaos the renegade returned for though he had bean beaten, he was not destroyed. Once more he rebuilt his union, preying on the new and uneducated to amass his army. Though once again he regained his numbers it was nothing compared to the many unaffiliated agents that now roamed the streets. Indeed they were more formidable than the unorganized rabble they had yet to reach their previous standing as a superpower.

The renegade was not the only malicious force to emerge from the chaos. Many agents, both old and new thrived in the chaos for they could only find joy at the misery of others. There were those that did not forget the Order's hand in the last strike against the union and sought to organize a more permanent force against the union that claimed to desire to bring order to the chaos. And so it would seem that our Lord and Protector had taken mortal form to lead a crusade against unholy union. Though more educated followers would know that the Lord's only means of existing in our plane is through a humble handgun, the new agents that are only just now learning of our religion for the first time could not have known better. They were fooled by the demon in sheep's wool for if they did not worship him they instead learned to feared the Order as the demon cut down all who opposed him.

The prophet had become lax in his duties and had not preached the true religions idealogies as much as he should have. Many agents knew of the Order's existence but not its purpose. To his dismay, the demon took advantage of this and made his mark in the name of the holy Lord he claimed to be. When he amassed enough fame and followers, he revealed his once secret order and declared war on the renegade and his union and vowed to smite them and anyone that supports them with righteous justice. Though the prophet shared no love of the union neither did he desire acts of terrorism in the name of MAGNUM. And so the followers of MAGNUM were divided with the original Holy Order left weakened by the sudden schism and the new demonic Secret Order quickly gaining power to abuse those too weak to defend themselves.
Crusade
The renegade did not last long, he was no match for the demonic forces of the "secret" order. Seeing how any attempt at fighting the demon and his worshippers was useless, he fled, vowing to return when the demon had been weakened or perhaps even destroyed. With their primary target defeated so easily, they now turned to the rest of the city.

Though the demon possessed skills greater than most of the inhabitants of the city, he could not do much on his own. With the help of his numerous followers, however, he wrought chaos and despair to the city. Going so far as effectively shutting down our once magnificent city for no one would dare roam the streets with their malevolent presence. They went unopposed until the prophet and the true followers of Magnum returned to halt the demon's growing power.

The demon was powerful but despite this and his numerous followers his corrupted force was no match for the righteous power that could only be attained by true worship of our Lord and Protector. The prophet and his cohorts struck back at the demon and the demon reeled in pain. For the first time since he took hold of the city, he met a power that could not only match his own, but perhaps even surpass it. The true believers would keep the demon at bay, away from the normal citizens he would normally prey on. Occasionally, they would even manage to beat the malevolent force into submission and let them retreat with their tails between their legs.

The demon and his followers grew weary of these skirmishes, instead preferring to terrorize the weaker denizens of the streets who would not be able to defend themselves well. The malevolent force began to avoid the prophet and his companions, so fearful that the mere prescence of a few true believers was enough to scatter his forces. Realizing that the prophet could not be defeated in open combat, the demon instead resorted to trickery.

The deceptive demon would don the guise of many and attempt to surprise both prophet and prey. These guises were not enough, however, for our Lord showed us how to see a persons true identity despite any number of masks they wear. While the Holy Order had no issue finding the demon, others were not as adept at seeing through the lies of the demon. The demon knew this and sought to take advantage. If he could not defeat the prophet through conventional means, then he would have to destroy his name. The prophet's likeness was added to his many disguises. Though it was poor and incomplete, it was enough to fool the masses.

The demon continued to commit atrocities in many names, including the prophet's. Though, the prophet's righteous aura was enough to convince those he spoke with that he was being framed, he could not speak with everyone. The damage was done. This eternal struggle was finally halted when the demon, growing ever bolder, adopted a guise so grotesque that it would attract the great Creator himself. Seeing this abomination in his land, the Creator enacted swift justice upon it. The demon, however, would not let the prophet have the satisfaction of believing him defeated and rose up once more in the guise of the Creator to mock him. The demon, perhaps forgetful or ignorant of the prophets holy associations, was smote once more, this one more thorough.

Both the great Creator and prophet knew this was a great victory but not the end of the demon. Seeing how a fragmented Lord was not enough to protect His world from demonic influences, the great Creator bestowed a divine gift upon the prophet to reward his loyalty and to help keep the city safe. With the demon defeated, it was now time to rebuild the Holy Order's once prestigious name.

@Freddie: The term "MAGNUM" isn't being used in reference to mere player so that was probably just someone trolling...
