Introduction
This guide will assist you in setting up Svencraft (or an alternate GoldSrc engine level editor) to create custom maps for Sven Co-op.

Svencraft is the default level editor included with the Sven Co-op SDK, and it will be the main focus of this guide. Most editors that are compatible with the GoldSrc engine, such as J.A.C.K., are based on Hammer 3.x and thus can be set up in a similar way.
"General"
Your editor does not know where Sven Co-op's files are by default, so you will need to create a game configuration that will point it in the right direction.

To manage your game configurations in Svencraft, expand the "Tools" tab and click the "Game Configurations..." button. In the Game Configurations menu, click the "Manage..." button near the top and add a new configuration. Give your new configuration a name.

Note: You can create configurations for other games and mods that use the GoldSrc engine. Consider setting up your level editor to create maps for Half-Life, Counter-Strike, or Team Fortress Classic!

Game Data Files
Your level editor will need to read an FGD file. FGD files contain information about a GoldSrc game's entities (e.g., enemies, weapons).

Click the "Add..." button in the "Game Data files" section. Navigate to your Sven Co-op folder and select the sven-coop.fgd file.

Note: If you do not know where your Sven Co-op folder is, you can right-click on the game in your Steam library and press the "Browse local files" button.
"Paths"
There should be four areas where you can input various directories. You will need to add these directories and adjust them if you've installed Sven Co-op on another operating system or drive. They will be especially helpful if you want to playtest your map.

Firstly, there's the Game Executable directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op

Secondly, there's the Mod directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op\svencoop

Thirdly, there's the Game directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op\svencoop

Lastly, there's the RMF directory. You can select any folder for your RMF files. While you can place your files in Sven Co-op's default map directory, it is discouraged and may appear unorganized.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op\svencoop\maps
"Textures"
This is an easy section. Just click on the tab called Textures. In this tab, you can select the .WAD files you want for your maps. All the textures you need are in your normal Sven Co-op directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op\svencoop
Note: You should only add the textures you need for your map. You may want to avoid adding every WAD file to the editor, as this can crash older map editors.
"Build"
Your level editor will need you to select the game and build executables. The build executables will convert your map to a playable state.

The game executable can be found in your Sven Co-op directory.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op\svencoop.exe

The build executables can be found in the "compilers" folder of your Sven Co-op SDK directory.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op SDK\mapping\compilers
For the "CSG executable", use SC-CSG_x64.exe.
For the "BSP executable", use SC-BSP_x64.exe.
For the "VIS executable", use SC-VIS_x64.exe.
For the "RAD executable", use SC-RAD_x64.exe.
Conclusion
Assuming everything is done correctly, you should be ready to make custom maps for Sven Co-op! If you need any help or have any questions or suggestions, please comment below.

Enjoy!

:csgostar: Awesome. I used J.A.C.K. for making the map and it worked out pretty well
For anyone having problem with setting it up on J.A.C.K. instead of Half life SDK, Just add me on steam, I'll respond as soon as I can :wink_eol:
