The Geological Survey is a city department specializing in studying the geology of your city, with an emphasis on earthquake analysis and detection. With state of the art seismic detectors, the Geological Survey office provides your entire city with earthquake detection coverage, and looks pretty neat to boot. Its design is inspired by aspects of geology, of course.

*REQUIRES NATURAL DISASTERS
*Found under fire/disasters.
*15x10 lot.
*Costs $50,000 to build.
*Upkeep is $_____ per week.
*The main building includes disaster response center with several response vehicles, and the sub-building is a city-wide earthquake detector.

Model stats:

*Main Model: 8,034 tris with 1024x2048 textures.
*LOD model: 528 tris with 256x256 textures.
*Sub Model: 178 tris with 512x512 textures.
*Sub Model LOD: 10 tris with 64x64 textures.

Dunno if you're still active but have you considered making a map-wide detection asset for other disasters as well?

Oceanographic Survey Office (pier?) for tsunami perhaps.

For wildfire, maybe a facility with satellite dishes to bring in satellite thermal imagery (the modern replacement for watchtowers in real life.)
