I think it is very good that it exists, and even better that it is integrated so optionally. I have let several people who would ordinarily not even be able to play video games, like my non gaming friends and girlfriend, play HITMAN with opportunities enabled and it allowed them to have a truly memorable experience. For those on the outside looking in, opportunities represent a way of seeing the vision of the game the devs had, and understanding why people like these games in the first place. I can not see this as anything but a positive. And once they understand how the game works, and once they are hooked on it, they will possibly disable the training wheels altogether. Or maybe they won't, which is fine also.
