It can't hurt your game though because you can read your phone assignments
in your journal.
Multi-Fix which also
restores machetes,
opens the bonus missions,
limits frames to 60 FPS
lets you set FOV
and a host of other features
The Redux Mod and the Realism+ Redux mod both have Multi-Fix built into the install
and have other important game enhancing features such as reducing bullet sponginess
of AI, making encounters much more fluid and realistic, factions fight each other, You'll occasionally hear gunshots and have the option to ignore, engage, or watch the show.
- It's a much more lively and immersive realistic experience, and both mods have improved graphic enhancements.
Also -
Improved jump height and distance
Improved climbing abilities
Improved stamina for greater running distance
Faster vehicles
Chance of being chased by vehicles reduced by 50%
and more -
Please see my guide for details:

The issue is fixed by going windowed and 1920-1080 resolution. Then immediately switching t my native 2k, and setting up 60fps limit, then going back fullscreen. The game plays well after that, without the need to reset any gamefiles or reboot. I use 0 mods
Also I can confirm an addition to my previous comment, that I dO have the 3 exta weapons in armory.
However the machete solution you proposed does not work, neither double tap, neither game options from the main menu, but that it not criticacl to me
Always set to run in DX9 and turn Vsync ON.
Try these:
Go to your Documents / My Games / Far Cry2 folder and delete GamerProfile.xml
launch the game - The FC2 system detect will run on launch and create a new GamerProfile
file. - (You'll need to set your GFX settings again)
Do a file check to verify the integrity of your files.
If you have a multi-core system run Multi-fix to set 'affinity for your number of cores.
Details are in my guide listed here on the right - Conflict Strategies and Survival Guide
in the article 'Required to Launch The game'
Are you playing with any mods? - It's possible that you have a corrupted save.
In future please post any tech questions here : Steam FC2 Discussions Forum
Where they'll have much more exposure and a better chance of getting answers.
Thanks for your consideration. - and Good Luck !
I've ran the game first and played about 15 minutes fine, then I went to shop.
After returning and relaunching the game I began having LAAAG... I did not have it before, what could have caused this?
(You can also use the multi-fix tool to restore the weapons, predecessor missions,
set FOV - and more)
