All right, did a few playthroughs with this. Construction simulation "kind of" replaces simulation, but not all the time. Games that used to be great combos with simulation sometimes won't work for construction sim or vehicle sim. This isn't really a complaint though, just pointing it out.

One bug I saw was that whenever I did Western/FPS the bubble production went insane, with even a one developer cranking out over 100 points of design and tech.

Platforms don't give any clue of fit with the new genres. I suspect they default to no bonus or penalty. This means that new genres will kinda always be mediocre games. This is a pretty big issue, in my opinion, because it kinda limits me to using PC, because other platforms are too expensive and I can't recoup the losses since the game won't be good enough.

This mod disables all platforms except PC and G64, including modded platforms. Hopefully this helps people to debug their game.

This does not seem to interface with modded topics at all...
