The Jenny-Turnip War
From a long time ago on the island that Ittle Dew 1 took place, two main races existed: The Jennys and the Turnips. 1000 years before the events of Ittle Dew 1 took place, they had a war. The Jennys were led by Jenny Deer along with her two main henchmen Jenny Tiger and Jenny Bird and a mysterious Jenny called Jenny Lemon. The Turnips on the other hand were led by Lichious Turnip alone. It was a tough battle. While Jenny Deer was powerful, Lichious Turnip, having made a mysterious pact that gave her some kind of special power, just couldn't be defeated as she kept coming back from her death. Therefore, the war ultimately ended with a tie, and both factions made a peace treaty.

Jenny Deer, Jenny Tiger, and Jenny Bird
Jenny Deer, Jenny Tiger, and Jenny Bird were the main leading figures of the Jennys during the Jenny-Turnip war. Jenny Deer was known to be a very proud and powerful magic user, Jenny Tiger was known to be the strongest warrior among the Jennys, and Jenny Bird was known to be a fishbun tamer. It seems they shared a very close relationship much like friends. After the war, these three Jennys took residence in the eastern part of the island of Ittle Dew 1 called "Warped Woods". There, they also protected one of the ancient weapons: The Portal wand. Before the events of Ittle Dew 1 however, Jenny Tiger and Jenny Bird are said to have died due to rather mysterious reasons. Their gravestones can be found in a hidden area of the Warped Woods. Jenny Deer, having become all alone, kept living in the Warped Woods protecting the Portal wand until Ittle arrived and defeated her.

The Compost Crypt and Lichious Turnip
The Compost Crypt was likely an underground base of the Turnips during the Jenny-Turnip war. Here, many of the fallen Turnip soldiers were buried, and Lichious Turnip wrote several journal entries related to the war. There are signs she also made a mysterious pact during the war that gave her and her army the power to keep coming back from death by becoming undead-like beings. Due to this, she and the Turnips became ultimately undefeatable. However, even with their special power, their will to fight weakened through countless battles, and that is why the war ended with a tie and a peace treaty. After the war, Lichious Turnip left the Compost Crypt behind and took residence in the southeastern swamp area of the island with the Ice Wand, whereas Jenny Deer took residence in the eastern area of the island with the Portal Island.

The Hexrots, That Guy, and the library
Not too much is known about the race called "Hexrot", but they are these magical beings with a carrot head. They are known to use magic of fire and ice element. They are the original owners of the library dungeon that can be found on the island of Ittle Dew 2, and they are said to have obtained eternal life there. Regarding the fact that the library contains paintings of Jenny Deer, Jenny Tiger, Jenny Bird, and the Jenny-Turnip war, the Hexrots, at least their elders, seem very old enough to have had some kind of close relationship with those three Jennys in the past and know about the war.

On the other hand, That Guy, a being that looks like a potato with a smiley face and squiggly arms and legs and is the mysterious final boss from the Princess Remedy game, seems to have some influence within the Ittle Dew universe. Not only is there a statue of him in the Art Gallery boss dungeon in Ittle Dew 2, but the Hexrots mentioned above are also revealed to be worshippers of him. This can be evident in two of the portal worlds. One is called "Wall of Text", where there are notes hinting that the Hexrots desired eternal life mainly for becoming able to chant a ritual that takes hundred years and would ultimately open the path to That Guy's domain and allow them to obtain his appearance. This means those who look like "That Guy" that can be found in two of the shortcut caves and the Fancy Ruins dungeon are likely the Hexrots who went through the ritual and sold their souls to him to obtain his appearance. Second portal world is called "Lost City of Avlopp", where a Hexrot can be seen in a hidden area chanting the said ritual.

Itan Carver
Itan Carver seems to be a man of wealthy background. Itan was a man who admired adventures and had one goal: To design and set up dungeons and puzzles that adventurers could derive excitement out of. He discovered the island of Ittle Dew 2 with his brother Passel. When he did, he met the Hexrot elders and paid them to turn their library into his main base for turning the whole island fit for adventuring filled with dungeons and puzzles. While doing so, he also hired most of the other residents on that island including variety of races like Jennys, Turnips, Crystals, Fishbun-taurs, and many more to be parts of the dungeons and different areas to fight against adventurers. While he was an expert at designing dungeons and puzzles, he seemed to have been an expert at robotics too. He designed robot suits for boss battles and hired Cyber Jenny, Le Biadlo, and Lenny to be the pilots. However, despite all his efforts, no adventurers came to the island to enjoy and explore all the work Itan has set up. Being bored, Itan decided to test his dungeons and puzzles by building a robot to explore them instead. When the robot completed all of them, Itan felt relieved and thought of expanding his business oversea. In the library of the Hexrots, Itan seemed to have found information about the Jenny-Turnip war that happened 1000 years ago and the island it happened on. While leaving the management of the island of Ittle Dew 2 to Passel, Itan set sail for that island with a lot of gold.

Itan ended up successfully discovering the island where the Jenny-Turnip war took place 1000 years ago. This is the island where Ittle Dew 1 took place. There, he found the Jenny and Turnip descendents of the war living in harmony ever since the war has ended. He set up a central castle dungeon in the center of the island and, similar to the island of Ittle Dew 2, hired the descendants to take parts in his dungeons and puzzles. While doing so, he discovered some dungeons that were already on the island in places like Warped Woods and That Cold Place where Jenny Deer and Lichious Turnip still lived and protected ancient objects like Ice wand, Portal wand, and Fire sword. He therefore built replicas of the weapons and enhanced those dungeons with puzzles of his own. Not to mention that he seemed to have discoverd some kind of artifact and set that up as the goal for the adventurers. With everything being set, he awaited for adventurers once again while pretending to be a shopkeeper. And this is when Ittle and Tippsie crashed onto the island.

After Ittle and Tippsie conquered all of his dungeons and puzzles on the island and defeated him as a final boss battle, Itan built them a raft in exchange for getting back the artifact they achieved. However, Itan, having been starved for adventurers like Ittle for a long time, decided to come with Ittle on the raft and start traveling together. During their traveling, for reason unkown and yet to be revealed, Itan decided to settle and open a novelty skull shop somewhere. While sending off Ittle and Tippsie, he gave them a novelty skull to decorate their raft.

Passel Carver and The Queen
When Itan left the island of Ittle Dew 2, Passel was put in charge of the dungeons and puzzles on that island. However, the robot Itan had built to test those dungeons and puzzles, named "Simulacrum", started going berserk as it kept completing them eveytime Passel resetted them while adapting to them with faster methods each time. The robot is said to have completed them about 1000 times and was referred to as "The Queen" by the residents. Soon, the robot grew its own sentiment to the point where it started building its own new secret dungeons with Ultra Mechabuns as the boss in places Passel can't easily find. Passel decided to put an end to this by dismantling the robot into pieces and hid them across the island while locking away the core inside the ultimate secret dungeon that the robot created. Passel scattered the 4 keys necessary to enter that ultimate secret dungeon inside the robot's other secret dungeons.

Passel, having grown tire and frustrated from having had to reset the dungeons and puzzles countless number of times due to the robot, does not greet Ittle and Tippsie's arrival to the island and tries to discourage and stop them every chance he gets. He seems to have a similar talent like his brother Itan in terms of robotics as he kept repairing and upgrading the robot suits for Cyber Jenny, Le Biadlo, and Lenny to use in boss battles against Ittle. He even did so as to block the door to the final boss room in the library dungeon and throw away the key.

When Ittle and Tippsie collected all the shards across the island and 4 keys from the secret dungeons and defeating Passel as a final battle, they venture into the ultimate secret dungeon only to find the core of the robot still in tact. Upon Ittle's arrival, the core reacted to the shards Ittle had collected and recovered its original form. Upon recovering its form, the robot challenges Ittle only to lose and bestow the title of "The Queen of Adventure" to Ittle. When the robot is defeated, it reveals its true intention for everything it has done, which is the admiration for her and the dungeons and the puzzles' creator, Itan Carver. Through this, Passel and the robot come to a bonding for both admiring Itan Carver and then rewards Ittle all the gold of the island.

When Ittle and Tippsie was leaving the island, for some reason, Passel seems to have exploded the whole island while evacuating the residents(hopefully). The robot, Simulacrum, also survives together.

Jenny Lemon
Jenny Lemon was another significant Jenny during the Jenny-Turnip war who fought along with Jenny Deer, Jenny Tiger, and Jenny Bird. As she took part in the Jenny-Turnip war, she seems to have inhabited the island of Ittle Dew 1 just like the Jenny trio did as a wall sculpture referencing her can be found in the castle dungeon. However, for some reason, she seems to have moved to the island of Ittle Dew 2 at some point before the events of Ittle Dew 1. This is because she does not appear in Ittle Dew 1 but makes appearance in the Lonely Road region of the island of Ittle Dew 2. The reasons remain unknown.

Oh i love it

I'd also like to note two things:
1. one of the costumes makes Ittle look like a boy in a hoodie. This is actually the Little Dude costume, which is a refrence to one of Ludosity's other games, Card City Nights (where the characters from various Ludosity and Daniel Remar games are cards, and altered variants of them are card game players). I'm still waiting for a Card City Nights 2, with new additions from this game as well as Psycard.
2. I find it a little strange that Simulacrum's wooden hairstyle looks very similar to Ittle's original hairstyle (if a bit neater than hers). I have to wonder if there's something else there...

Thanks a ton for clearing up the whole "novelty skull" thing. I thought for a while that Itan would show up at the end or something and dispel the obvious misdirection caused by Ittle having a skull on her raft, but I guess they hid that information elsewhere. I mean I wouldn't COMPLETELY put it past this game to just say "he died and was probably canibalized by Ittle and Tipsie", but it would be a very sharp tone shift.

Also really cool guide!

The story of Itan Carver is a bit messy. The first part of the recording seems to be a reference to the dungeon in the prototype for Ittle Dew and the other parts suggest that he then made the dungeons in Ittle Dew 1 and later the dungeons in Ittle Dew 2. That said, plans can have changed since that recording... :dewstare:

Unless you read about the Promised Remedy online it is unlikely that you enter it without exploring Place from Younger Days as that contains a part of the encrypted instructions on how to enter the Promised Remedy. I believe the hint for finding Place from Younger Days are the signs scattered around the overworld with parts of a sentence on them.
automaton spy 5 Jan, 2017 @ 4:26pm
nevermind, the messages in the Promised Remedy decode to this:

"You don't need puzzles."
"You don't need enemies."
"You don't need to escape."
"THAT GUY"

it's pretty cool, but it doesn't really add to anything. Oh well- maybe something else Ludosity will make will add to That Guy a bit.
LuckyRoot  [author] 3 Jan, 2017 @ 11:27am
@Procatinator Not to mention that I did add a bit of information about That Guy in the Hexrots' section of the guide. I haven't mentioned directly about the Promised Remedy however because the crypted messages are a part of it, and I can't fully explain them yet. Maybe in the future when those messages are fully understood, I will add a seperate section for the Promised Remedy.:illrobin:
LuckyRoot  [author] 3 Jan, 2017 @ 11:26am
@Procatinator The crypted messages? Yeah. They are nothing new for me as I already found them before. I believe I found all of them including the ones outside the Promised Remedy, and I have taken screenshots for each as well as I don't exactly know how to decrypt them either. Moreover, I have met Jenny Berry in That Guy costume a while ago and saw her saying that. I was already aware that That Guy had influence in Ittle Dew universe as some kind of mythological being, so what Jenny Berry said didn't stirke me as that special. Also, I did play the first Princess Remedy game in the past, so I already knew about him before Ittle Dew 2 even came out. Furthermore, of course I know about the Promised Remedy and That Guy boss. I already beat him.:mandark: I thought it was obvious from my reply to your first comment. If you don't believe me, there are screenshots in the Itan Carver's section of the guide that shows me playing in That Guy costume.

hang on, I just found something else. In the promised remedy, there are a bunch of signs with gibberish on them. They might be a code and add to this, though, but I have no idea how i'd go about figuring them out (and i'm too lazy to do so anyway). I posted all the pictures on my profile or whatever, and they have all the codes and where they are. I'm also gonna open up a new thread here trying to figure out how to decode them. and one last thing- if you go to the area above the warp garden with the That Guy costume, you can find Jenny Berry, who talks about how you look like That Guy and how she doesn't really belive in "cosmic horrors" like him. And in the Princess Remedy games that were by the same people, you can fight That Guy, and he says some stuff or whatever before the fight. You can find that online, but i dunno how helpful it would actually be. speaking of which, do you even know about the promised remedy and the That Guy boss? you don't mention it an any of this.
LuckyRoot  [author] 29 Dec, 2016 @ 2:47am
@Procatinator Those areas must've been very tricky to discover the entrance to. Thanks! I would've never found them on my own. Good old Itan. I sure miss him so.. However, the secret does raise some questions as it doesn't exactly match what seems to have happened...:catjenny_px:
