This guide is for the users, who didnt ve a Xbox 360 controller.

x360ce is execelent tool that can get your dinput gamepad working as a XBOX one in any game exept ones that has a Denuvo anti tamper protection

If you got any drivers that fo with ayre gamepad DO NOT INSTALL THEM ON WINDOWS 10 or u will expirience constanly system crashes. There will be no ForceFeedback (due drivers isnt isntalled), there is no solution for now.

IF YOU ARE ON WINDOWS 10 AND U GOT A DINPUT GAMEPAD U WONT GET FORCE FEEDBACK WORKING, but gamepad will work fine itself.

Step by step guide:

• 1. Download latest X360CE x64 Here: https://github.com/x360ce/x360ce
  
  
• 2. Unpack X360CE_x64.exe in:
  %STEAM_FOLDER%\SteamApps\common\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\x64
  
  
• 3. Delete xinput1_3.dll in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\x64 folder. (that file was shipped with a game, if you do verify game cache or gameupdate it will be replaced, so u will have to do step 4 after that again)
  
  
• 4. Run x360ce_x64.exe and remap yre gamepad, also x360ce will download a new, xinput hook xinput1_3

If you got a Nvidia Shield, u may try to put at bin\x64 tocaedit's dinput8 blocker DDL, wich u can download directly from tocaedit's google drive[drive.google.com] or from zippyshare[www25.zippyshare.com]

If that wont help, try to do this guide as for usual dinput controller

There is no perfect solution for Shield users so this may wont work for ya, it better to ask a nvidia to add a option to turn off dinput data streaming.

FOR ORIGINAL DUALSHOCK 3 GO THERE: SCPTOOL RELOADED[forums.pcsx2.net]

If you do got a fake chinesee Dualshock 3, there will be a chance that nothing would help, but try to use a old SCPTOOLKIT that can be found HERE[forums.pcsx2.net] u have to download latest version and over it an a update. This tool also should work with older Dualshock controllers connected via usb (but may dont)

FOR ORIGINAL DUALSHOCK 4 GO THERE: DS4WIN[ds4windows.com]
Everything is pretty simple but dont forget to disable a touchscreen in settings (it may broke some games)

UPDATE: Now Steam Natively supports PS4 Gamepads. just load the game and chose premade controller configuration via steam overlay to Xbox One

Note: For some users, who experience double mapped buttons, ur have to use a dinput8 blocker, wich can be fond here: (put in bin\x64 folder)

Open xbox360ce check the custom dinput option and rename that field to dinput8.dll (this field will be renamed to default one every time u open x360ce app, so u have to do it everytime, yes that a bug already confirmed and submitted)
