Set different TEXT language than AUDIO language

1. Set overall language

a. Go to game settings in Steam Library
b. Set the language you prefere as a VOICE language
c. Close game properties

2. Set text language

a. go to "Steam\steamapps\common\Dishonored2\base" or wherevere you have the game installed
b. find file named "SKUConfig.txt."
c. open fille, it will contain something like this

TEXT:11eLID_EnglisheLID_FrencheLID_ItalianeLID_GermaneLID_SpanisheLID_RussianeLID_PolisheLID_MexicanSpanisheLID_BrazilianPortugueseeLID_ChineseeLID_JapaneseAUDIO:10eLID_EnglisheLID_FrencheLID_ItalianeLID_GermaneLID_SpanisheLID_RussianeLID_PolisheLID_MexicanSpanisheLID_BrazilianPortugueseeLID_Japanese

d. find the language you want to set TEXT to and set it as a first (in my case - eLID_Polish )

TEXT:11eLID_PolisheLID_FrencheLID_ItalianeLID_GermaneLID_SpanisheLID_RussianeLID_PolisheLID_MexicanSpanisheLID_BrazilianPortugueseeLID_ChineseeLID_JapaneseAUDIO:10eLID_EnglisheLID_FrencheLID_ItalianeLID_GermaneLID_SpanisheLID_RussianeLID_PolisheLID_MexicanSpanisheLID_BrazilianPortugueseeLID_Japanese

Alternativly you can set those two languages in text fille.
As it turns out the first language after words TEXT and AUDIO matters

TEXT:11eLID_PolisheLID_FrencheLID_ItalianeLID_GermaneLID_SpanisheLID_RussianeLID_PolisheLID_MexicanSpanisheLID_BrazilianPortugueseeLID_ChineseeLID_JapaneseAUDIO:10eLID_EnglisheLID_FrencheLID_ItalianeLID_GermaneLID_SpanisheLID_RussianeLID_PolisheLID_MexicanSpanisheLID_BrazilianPortugueseeLID_Japanese

Also didn’t work for me. Putting Russian after audio just removed all audio.

didn't work, my game language was french, i put the French on the first line after text:11
the game had no audio on all dialogues.

Thanks! it works on GOG version (2023). Just be sure to put the text language line REPLACING the english one (the first one), in the TEXT: you are not going to have a english line and you are going to have two lines for your language (the first one and the other one in the original order).

Update 2022:

Complete step 1 AND delete all the other languages you are not using for TEXT
Complete step 2 AND if there is not an AUDIO line, write in "AUDIO: 10" with the audio language you set in step 1.

It works for me this way, I have French AUDIO and English TEXT.

@Elthrai Itried what you said on the SKUconfig file of dishonored deathe of the outsider, the fact is that it changed the language in menu and in the first cinematic, but i don't have any voices during the rest of the mission, no characters voices, sounds yes but no rats whispers, etc. how can i deal with this ? (the language change just when i delete all other ones in the file but it also turn the game into "no voices land") Have anyone a solution for this ? i really don't find anything on the net.

@ravefunk Have you tried to edit file rights and set it to READ ONLY?
Other than that make sure you have files for that other language you want to set.
You can also try to delete all languages that aren't yours in that text file. So for Polish it will look like this
"TEXT:11eLID_Polish"

Has anyone had problems with the language even using this guide? The game completely ignores any changes made to the file as well as in the main menu in sound there is no option to change the language. I have tried to delete the file, verify the integrity of the cache and nothing. If anyone has tried any alternative other than uninstall it, I would appreciate it if you could comment.
