^^ If your join a country you can have a rank. If you reach the Marshal rank you'll be able to have 600+ troups. But it's the cool thing about mount and blade. You can plau as what you want. A trader, a bandit, a soldier, a vassal, a king... ect... One of the best game ever. I'm so hyped for mount and blade II

I dont think i am playing it right. I go out and rob villages and such, until someone with 300 people is after me, and i get prisoned, and lose all, without my money and the most expensive stuff i have, so i can keep going doing the same thing over and over again and getting more and more money.

Did you try the mod "L'aigle" for warband. It is just awesome. I'm addicted as hell
